Donovan McNabb: Cheers or Jeers for His Return To Philly?
The Internet has been a-buzz about Donovan's McNabb's return to Philadelphia in week four of the NFL regular season.
Everyone is speculating about whether the majority of the crowd with boo or cheer their former quarterback.
Philly fans are a unique bunch. They take their sports, very, very, very, seriously. After all this is the same fan base that has booed Santa, that had a jail cell at the Vet, and have allegedly thrown batteries at opposing teams.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
So needless to say, if they boo Donovan McNabb (a player the booed when he was an Eagle) I won't be surprised.
He will enter Lincoln Financial Field as the quarterback for the division rival Washington Redskins.
My thoughts on the fan reaction to McNabb I felt would be in direct response to his heir.
With Kevin Kolb's shaky first half against Green Bay it would seem the table was set for McNabb to have a grand reception from the fans echoing in disappointment with the franchise's decision to trade him away.
However, with Kolb's injury and then the stellar play of Michael Vick with a 2-1 start it seems that the Eagles don't miss McNabb at all and the fans probably don't care at this point in time that he was traded away.
So does the Eagles' first place spot atop of the division mean boos for McNabb?
I don't really think so.
Any boos he receives will probably no more than any other Redskin quarterback would receive and judging from the Philly fans I know they still do miss McNabb and there will probably many who share that opinion at the game.
Also it was the team that decided to trade McNabb, not McNabb wanting out of Philly. He said on many occasions that he wanted to retire an Eagle.
So come game time I am sure there will be boos directed at the quarterback of the Redskins not the man Donovan McNabb, but at the same time I know there will be many who cheer maybe the best quarterback the Eagles have had since Jaws, or maybe even ever.
