Kay's View: Fabianski Does the Unthinkable and Helps Arsenal to Victory!
Well, what a disappointment that was.
I was waiting for one of those horror shows again where Fabianski flies from left to right without ever saving the ball from going into the back of the net.
I was waiting for the camera to zoom right to his face when he made an unthinkable mistake.

I was waiting to wince at the sight of the ball going between his hands and legs.
I was even hoping for aliens to come and abduct him and take him back home!
To add to that I was going to make a statement on how his name includes the word ‘fab’ in it when it should include the word "drab." "Drabianski Is His Name" was going to be the title of this article.
None of that happened though; what did happen is that he actually played very well. He made a couple of very decent saves and also saved a penalty.
He was even able to poke the ball away when it was coming in high from the sides or from a corner.
All this from a player that last season could not even see the ball coming at him even if the ball was the size of a moon. He had made a fool out of himself.
However, this time around he made a fool out of all of us. Could this really be the same Fabianski?
Arsene Wenger has always backed Fabianski, even after those horrendous errors he did last year against Porto in the Champions league. Maybe Wenger knows something that we don’t know.
Wenger was talking about Fabianski yesterday when he said:
"He gets another opportunity to show how good he is. I want him to show how good he is."
With his performance yesterday he showed some encouraging signs for the future and he really did redeem himself and his name.
You never know, maybe he will turn out to be FAB-ianski after all.
