Tony Stewart should walk into the infield of Kansas Speedway with an air of authority this weekend.

Stewart is the defending Price Chopper 400 winner and he has been up at the top of the leader board for the last 10 races.  If Stewart didn't have bad luck he would not have any luck at all.

Stewart's fortunes should change as the NASCAR Chase heads into the heartland for the third race in the NASCAR Chase.  The following list of 10 reasons should explain why Tony Stewart just needs to make sure he does not beat himself.

10.  Kansas Speedway is a Flat Mile-and-a-Half Cookie-Cutter Track

Tracks laid out like Kansas Speedway have always been an advantage for Tony Stewart.  The part time sprint car racer knows how to drive it in deep at tracks like Kansas Speedway and he isn't afraid to use all of the track.

9.  Tony Stewart's Crew Chief Darian Grubb

Grubb is a master at setting up for tracks such as Kansas Speedway.  Grubb is one of the most underrated crew chiefs in the NASCAR garage and a key to Stewart's success.

8.  Tony Stewart's Pit Crew is also Underrated

They have picked up Stewart on more than one occasion to get the No.14 Old Spice/Burger King a better finishing spot than anticipated.

7.  Tony Stewart's Engine Package

The Hendrick Motorsports motors have been the best motor in the NASCAR Sprint Cup garage for more than a few years and Stewart is privileged to have one under his hood.

6.  Tony Stewart is due

Yes, Stewart has already won recently but he is due to win a NASCAR Chase race.  Stewart could win three races in the NASCAR Chase and no one in the NASCAR garage would be surprised.

5.  Tony Stewart Does Know How to Save Fuel Mileage

Despite his recent failure to save enough fuel in New Hampshire, Tony Stewart is an expert at saving fuel and he does have the ability to feather the throttle, ease into the corner and accelerate out of the corner without mashing the gas pedal.

4.  Loose is Fast and Tony Stewart is Not Afraid to Let the Back Tires Lose Traction

Stewart is use to driving with back end out and he is one of the best wheel men in NASCAR Sprint Cup.  This also goes back to Tony Stewart's sprint car and late model dirt stock car prowess.

3.  Tony Stewart's affiliation with Hendrick Motorsports does not hurt

It does not hurt Tony Stewart that he is sporting the best engine and best aerodynamic body design courtesy of Hendrick Motorsports.  The car not Tony is an aerodynamic wonder.

2.  Confidence

Tony Stewart should be confident heading into the Kansas Price Chopper 400.  Stewart has been tepid when asked about his chances going into races but don't expect that reaction when he is interviewed this weekend.  He will be confident.

1.  Tony Stewart is not afraid to lose

Tony Stewart is 162 points out of the lead for the NASCAR chase and he has nothing to lose heading into the Kansas Speedway Price Chopper 400.  Stewart sees the opportunity to land his sponsor in victory lane and salvage a horrible start in the NASCAR Chase.
