2011 NFL Mock Draft V1: Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns Get Their Franchise QBs

David DanielsSep 29, 2010

It's never too early for a NFL mock draft.  Seven months fly by.

Here are 32 players who will be subject to Dez Bryant's dinner duties soon enough.

At first glance, this year's draft looks loaded with wide receivers and cornerbacks, and very weak compared to recent years with offensive tackles and running backs.

There are two sure bet franchise signal callers who will be taken off the board faster than Roger Goodell would fine a player after a touchdown celebration.

Here is the first version of a 2011 NFL Mock Draft:

The draft order is based on my latest 2010 NFL Power Rankings.

With The First Pick Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The Buffalo Bills Select....

1 of 32

Jake Locker, Quarterback, Washington

Until the Bills find a franchise quarterback, they will continue to be the laughing stock of the league.

With The Second Pick of The 2011 NFL Draft, The Cleveland Browns Select....

2 of 32

Andrew Luck, Quarterback, Stanford

Tim Couch....sorry, please try again.  Brady Quinn....sorry, please try again.

With The Third Pick of The 2011 NFL Draft, The Detroit Lions Select....

3 of 32

Patrick Peterson, Cornerback, LSU

Forget that the Lions even need a cornerback; Peterson's the best player on the board.  They would draft the best player available even if it was a receiver.

With The Fourth Pick Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The Carolina Panters Select....

4 of 32

Marcell Dareus, Defensive Tackle, Alabama

The Panthers desperately need a serious upgrade to the interior of their defensive line.

With The Fifth Pick Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The St. Louis Rams Select....

5 of 32

A.J. Green, Wide Receiver, Georgia

Sam Bradford needs a legit number one receiver.

With The Sixth Pick Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The San Francisco 49ers Select....

6 of 32

Prince Amukamara, Cornerback, Nebraska

The 49ers could use a new quarterback, but with no one worth a sixth overall pick, adding a shutdown corner isn't a bad consolation prize.

With The Seventh Pick Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Select....

7 of 32

Robert Quinn, Defensive End, North Carolina

Arguably the best player in the draft falls to the Buccaneers who need a pass-rusher on the outside.

With The Eighth Pick Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The New England Patriots Select....

8 of 32

Mark Ingram, Running Back, Alabama

The Patriots offense is lethal without a running back, but with one they would be unstoppable.

With The Ninth Pick Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The Denver Broncos Select....

9 of 32

Allen Bailey, Defensive End, Miami

The biggest freak in the 2011 NFL Draft fills a need at defensive end for the Broncos.

With The Tenth Pick Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The Arizona Cardinals Select....

10 of 32

Joseph Barksdale, Offensive Tackle, LSU

The Cardinals need a left tackle to protect their....quarterback....

With The Eleventh Pick Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The Washington Redskins Select....

11 of 32

Adrian Clayborn, DE, Iowa

The Redskins need someone to replace Albert Haynesworth.

With The Twelfth Pick of The 2011 NFL Draft, The Jacksonville Jaguars Select....

12 of 32

Ras-I Dowling, Cornerback, Virginia

The Jaguars need a cornerback and a free safety.  Dowling can play both.

With The Thirteenth Pick Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The Seattle Seahawks Select....

13 of 32

Michael Floyd, Wide Receiver, Notre Dame

Floyd combines again with Golden Tate to give the Seahawks their future starting receivers.

With The Fourteenth Pick Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The New York Giants Select....

14 of 32

Jurrell Casey, Defensive Tackle, USC

The Giants need an upgrade at defensive tackle.

With The Fifteenth Pick Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The Minnesota Vikings Select....

15 of 32

Travis Lewis, Outside Linebacker, Oklahoma

Lewis is probably the best player on the board and Ben Leber is a free agent next offseason.

With The Sixteenth Pick Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The San Diego Chargers Select....

16 of 32

Jonathon Baldwin, Wide Receiver, Pitt

The Chargers need a replacement for Vincent Jackson and Baldwin is practically his clone.

With The Seventeenth Pick Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The Dallas Cowboys Select....

17 of 32

DeAndre McDaniel, Safety, Clemson

The Cowboys don't have many needs, but free safety is an obvious one.

With The Eighteenth Pick Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The Tennessee Titans Select....

18 of 32

Bruce Carter, Outside Linebacker, North Carolina

The Titans have no depth at outside linebacker and Carter can eventually replace Will Witherspoon.

With The Ninteenth Pick Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The Miami Dolphins Select....

19 of 32

Von Miller, Outside Linebacker, Texas A&M

The Dolphins biggest need is at rush linebacker and Miller is the best rush-linebacker in the draft.

With The 20th Selection Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The Kansas City Chiefs Select....

20 of 32

Jerrelle Powe, Nose Tackle, Ole Miss

The Chiefs need a nose tackle sure up their up and coming defense.

With The 21st Pick Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The Cincinnati Bengals Select....

21 of 32

Deunta Williams, Free Safety, North Carolina

The Bengals defense is great, but they could upgrade the free safety position.

With The 22nd Pick Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The Philadelphia Eagles Select....

22 of 32

Aaron Williams, Cornerback, Texas

The Eagles could use another great corner to pair with Asante Samuel.

With The 23rd Selection Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The Atlanta Falcons Select....

23 of 32

Greg Romeus, Defensive End, Pitt

Atlanta desperately needs a pass-rusher opposite John Abraham.

With The 24th Pick Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The Chicago Bears Select....

24 of 32

Anthony Castonzo, Offensive Tackle, Boston College

Chicago probably has one of the worst offensive lines in the league.

With The 25th Pick Of 2011 NFL Draft, The Houston Texans Select....

25 of 32

Lawrence Guy, Defensive Tackle, Arizona State

The Texans interior defensive line is weak.

With The 26th Pick Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The Packers Select....

26 of 32

Brandon Harris, Cornerback, Miami

Harris would eventually replace the aging Al Harris or Charles Woodson.

With The 27th Pick Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The Pittsburgh Steelers Select....

27 of 32

Mike Pouncey, Guard, Florida

The Steelers need a guard.  What a nice coincidence that the best guard in the nation is center Maurkice Pouncey's brother.

With The 28th Pick Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The Baltimore Ravens Select....

28 of 32

Curtis Brown, Cornerback, Texas

The Ravens really need help at the cornerback position.

With The 29th Pick Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The New England Patriots Select....

29 of 32

Julio Jones, Wide Receiver, Alabama

The Patriots could afford to upgrade the split end position opposite of Randy Moss.

With The 30th Pick Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The New York Jets Select....

30 of 32

Cameron Heyward, Defensive End, Ohio State

One of the very few weaknesses in the Jets defense, the defensive end position should be upgraded.

With The 31st Pick Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The New Orleans Saints Select....

31 of 32

Ryan Kerrigan, Defensive End, Purdue

The Saints must upgrade their pass-rush in the 2011 draft.

With The 32nd Pick Of The 2011 NFL Draft, The Indianapolis Colts Select....

32 of 32

Demarcus Love, Offensive Tackle, Arkansas

The Colts need to protect their All-World quarterback better than they have so far this season.
