Seatttle Seahawks Looking To Steamroll The NFC West In 2010
A lot has changed with the Seattle Seahawks since Jan 11, 2010, the day Pete Carroll was brought in to change the direction of this team. If you watch football and if you have watched the Seahawks in their recent "Dark Dayz" of the past two seasons, then you should see the huge difference in the type of games they are playing. Yes, the offense is still in the tune up phase, but even so, things ARE different. Last year under Jim Mora it was insane how over matched they were, the blow outs were big and common, the points that were scored were mostly in garage time and the only thing they did well was kind of stop the run game, well at least for 90% of the plays (allowing big plays on the other 10%).
With this team under Coach Carroll, they are not getting pushed around. The players seem to have good game plans(not so much in Denver) and the know how to put the game plans to use come Sundays. This really is a much more talented team that is bigger, stronger, much faster and they still have very smart ball players. They are and can be in EVERY game they play, and their biggest downside is they just need more time together as a team and getting used to the new schemes.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Everything for the most part that is wrong with this team has to do with timing and having a better feel for each other. Yes, they still need to upgrade and continue to move forward, but with these coaches and this team that is in place this 2010 season the biggest problem with the Seahawks will only get smaller and smaller as the year goes on and that is the need to come together as one team on the field.
The defense needs to get a better feel for each other in the backfield, who covers who/where and how they can play as one unit together cutting down the big passing plays and easy 3rd down conversions. With the beef and depth up front and the linebacker core in place this defense should be in the top 10 in the NFL by mid season.
The offense needs help, this is and has been the most under performing unit on this team. Hasselbeck needs to play better in the games PERIOD. They gained 26 yards in the second half at home Vs the CHARGERS (AND WON!!!), This CAN'T, and won't happen again. Bates is too good of a OC and too smart of a guy not to have a high flying offense. The O line didn't have there best game week 3 giving up a big sack for a safety, and having the most presser on the QB of the year. This group is getting healthier with 6th overall pick left tackle Okung coming back after the bye in week 5 and OG Pitts coming back this week. Seattle should be scoring 28-30something points every game. Until they can do this and move the ball when they need to ( like when they are up by 7 with the ball with 2 mins. left like they were Vs the Chargers and went 3 and out giving them a shot to win) it will be a work in process. But it all has been coming together and it will only get better as the year goes on.
I truly feel both the offensive and defensive problems for the most part will decline as they have more time playing together and get a bigger and better feel for the schemes. They still have some needs, but with everyone buying in Pete Carroll's plan, this team might be a top the NFC West come playoff time.
