UFC 119 Results: Sean Sherk (37-4-1) vs. Evan Dunham (11-0)

1st round – The referee in charge of this contest is Rob Hinds, who gets them started with a clap of the hands. Sherk takes his usual high guard stance, where Dunham comes out quick short and choppy movements.
Dunham is trying to change levels and hit Sherk with some combinationns. Sherk takes Dunham down and Dunham has hold of Sherk’s neck. Sherk is in trouble for a moment, but finally gets out of it and breaths a sigh of relief.
Sherk stays on top and controls the action landing some short ground and pound strikes. He now allows Dunham to get up, although he leans against him against the octagon fence.
Dunham breaks free, but Sherk goes right back in and picks Dunham up. Sherk slams him to the ground and protects his neck this time.
Dunham gets up and Sherk has his neck caught again. This time its closer, but Sherk gets out, gets back on top and cuts Dunham with a sharp elbow to the face. Dunham scrambles but Sherk stays in tight and doesnt allow him to get up.
The ref calls a timeout and has the doctor look at the cut on Dunham’s face; the doctor says it's OK and the action is back on. Only eight seconds are able to run off and the bell ends the round.

2nd round – Dunham continues to bleed down the face. Sherk hits with a nice counter punch and the shoots in for the takedown. Dunham catches Sherk in another guillotine, but Sherk squirms out and takes the back of Dunham.
Sherk stays on his back and uses knees to chop his opponent down. Dunham gets up and makes his base wider trying to protect from the takedown attempt. They drop to the ground and Dunham has Sherk’s neck.
Sherk escapes yet again and presses Dunham against the octagon fence. Dunham has Sherk’s neck as he is being presses against the fence. They drop to the ground and Sherk ends up on top, however Dunham is able to get back to his feet rather easily.
Dunham breaks free and squares off in the center octagon. Dunham hits with a left hand and then misses with a right.
They engage and Sherk goes in for the takedown, Dunham defends and breaks free. Dunham hits with astraight left and then tags Sherk with a right hand. Dunham hits with a knee to the face of Sherk as the round ends.

3rd round – Dunham comes out and hurts Sherk with a head kick. Sherk shoots in and pushes Dunham against the octagon where he takes a knee before going for the double leg takdown.
Sherk switches to a single leg takedown and then back to a double leg. He waits for several moments and then converts on the takedown, but Dunham is able to get back to his feet rather easy.
Sherk presses Dunham against the octagon fence but is pushed away by Dunham. Dunham ends his combo with a hard right hook that looks to have caused damage.
Dunham connects with several shots before Sherk drops, shoots, and presses Dunham against the octagon fence. Dunham goes in for the guillotine but can't convert and instead breaks free.
They square off and both land a couple of strikes. Dunham seems to be landing more including a hard knee followed by another.
Sherk stands in front of him and takes some more shots. Dunham hammers away and is gettting beat up by Dunham. They continue to throw punches until the round ends.
