Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Thoughts
- Michael Vick was installed as the Philadelphia Eagles’ starting quarterback early in the week. After his performance in Week 2 and the Jaguars' poor defense (they are allowing 300 passing yards per game and 420 total yards per game), you have to love the matchup. He’s a must start option in all formats.
- There have been rumors that Kevin Kolb may be traded, so don’t give up on him yet in two-quarterback formats. There certainly are teams that are looking for help, so let this play out for now as long as you had a viable replacement and room on your bench.
- The Raiders have decided to start Bruce Gradkowski this week over Jason Campbell. It’s a bit of a surprise, but as I’ve mentioned, I would consider Gradkowski a sleeper in two-quarterback formats (click here to view our Sunday Sleepers article).
- Will Vince Young stick this week or will Kerry Collins again replace him? It’s certainly hard to trust Young right now, so consider him a low-end QB2 until he proves otherwise.
- Charlie Batch will get the start for the Steelers, with Byron Leftwich on the bench (is he healthy?). It would be a surprise to see the team try to do anything but grind the game out on the ground, so stay away from this situation and be cautious with their wide receivers as well.
- Jimmy Clausen will be making his first NFL start, but it’s hard to trust him quite yet. Those in two-quarterback formats should be watching extremely closely, however. If he’s still available, you should stash him just in case.
What are your thoughts on these rankings? Who’s too high? Who’s too low?
