NFL Week 3: Can The Saints Win Sans Reggie Bush; The Dallas -Texans Showdown

Roz McCoySep 24, 2010

A lady's predictions for NFL week 3.

Bengals vs Panthers:The era of Jimmy Clausen starts with this game, but I don't know if that was a wise move. T.O. and Ochocinco get more TV time, but the real standout is Cedric Benson. Bengals 28 - Panthers 13

Bills  vs Patriots: Tom Brady is not as talented as most believe. The Patriots have an outstanding team/machine and Brady is just a part of the team, That team will easily roll over  the hapless Bills.  Patriots 31 - Bills 10

Browns vs Ravens: I'd  like to call this game "Old Cleveland (Ravens)  vs New Cleveland (Browns). The Ravens look great this year, and the Browns still look like, well, the same as every year - sad. Browns 17 - Ravens 24

Titans vs Giants: Okay, scratch  the Giants game last week against the Colts. That was a family feud. Eli Manning is gonna play some  serious ball this week because  he's still mad about losing to big brother. Peyton. Chris Johnson is awesome, but the Giants gotta prove their worthiness. Titans 21 - Giants 28

Chargers vs Seahawks: My mouth is still agape with the Seahawks loss to Kansas City. Chargers really whipped the 49ers, but I'm pretty sure that was a fluke. Still, I'm gonna say Chargers 17 - Seahawks 7

Cardinals vs Oakland: This is the game that will make me go to the laundry mat just to NOT watch it. Both teams are evenly matched, so this game will be less than exciting, unless you're a fan of the opposite team, But I gotta pick SOMEBODY, so... Cardinals 10 - Oakland 13

Eagles vs Jaguars: I live in Jacksonville, and ticket sales are up this week, which is a surprise considering that humiliating loss last week. I will bet dollars to doughnuts that sales are up due to Michael Vick. If that is the case, Vick fans will NOT be disappointed. Eagles 31 - Jaguars 20

Colts vs Broncos: I was a bit worried about the Colts in week 1. They acted like they didn't know they were there to play ball. And then, Peyton got the shot in the arm he needed by whipping up on Lil Bro Eli. Peyton's back, and the Broncos are not ready. Colts 35 - Broncos 17

Jets vs Dolphins:Its week 3,  the Jets are still  working on getting their defense together.. The  Dolphin defense is one of the best in the NFL this year. The Jets will most likely capsize.  24  - Dolphins 31

Packers vs Bears:. The Bears have been looking pretty darn good, and they are playing at home. Lets hope the Packers  don't "place " the ball down in the end zone like the Lions did. Packers 20 - Bears 28

Redskins vs Rams: During this game, I will probably give myself a pedicure. Not because the game will be boring. Not because the Redskins aren't a good team. It's because this is gonna be so predictable. Redskins 38 - Rams 13

49ers vs Chiefs : The Niners startled me in week 1. They did so well in preseason that I just KNEW my Niners were gonna blow out everybody. Didn't happen. So I was REALLY surprised at how great they played against  the Saints. The Niners lost, but they played better than most people thought. And they sure did give  Brees and the boys a work out. They won't have to work nearly that hard this week.  49ers 31 - Chiefs 7

Lions vs Vikings: If any one person needs their team to win this week, its Mr Prima Donna, Brett Farve. All that hype about if he was going to retire or not, and he has failed to deliver. His team NEEDS to win this week. Detroit, on the other hand, needs to win because they refuse to go 0-16 this year. They are playing like they mean business, no matter how many losses they've suffered   this season.  Lions 38 - Vikings 21

Steelers vs Buccaneers: .So far, both unbeaten. Somebody has  gotta lose this week. The Steelers are NFL royalty with a long rich history. The Buccaneers legacy has been up and down. This is one of those UP seasons.  The Bucs have a lot of young, talented and eager players who are on a roll. The Steelers have a lot of seasoned players (meaning old)  Out with the old, in with the new. Steelers 17 - Buccaneers 30

Falcons vs Saints: This would have been an easier call if Reggie Bush was healthy. Without Bush, the Saints might have to work harder. Remember, the 49ers ALMOST beat them, and Reggie B was playing that night. The  Falcons are just a tad bit more talented than the 9ers.but., Brees is playing at home. If it looks like the Saints are in trouble, I promise there will be dirty bird  voodoo dolls and stick pins a-plenty. Falcons 27 - Saints 35

Cowboys vs Texans: Now THIS is going to be THE game to watch this week!  America's Team has been playing just like America's economy - just awful.  The Texans would like everyone to know that there IS another football  team in the Lone Star State, and they've got the game to prove it (see week 1 against the Colts). Dallas has been playing like they are blindfolded amateurs.  The Texans have been playing like  - a  pro football team! (Gasp!) Cowboys 20 - Texans  30
