Five Big Upsets That You Will Never See Coming!!

Chris PhelpsSep 23, 2010

This is a slideshow about the biggest upsets that you will never see coming in Week 3 of the NFL season.  This will be an exciting Week 3, I can already tell.  Who will pull off an upset and who will be stunned by the end of the week? Don't be surprised if any of these upsets happen.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Well would you look at this, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have started the 2010 NFL season 2-0. After being one of the worst teams last year, I don't think anyone expected this.

With Josh Freeman playing really well and Mike Williams emerging to become a good NFL player, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers might be ready to pull of an upset against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Steelers have an amazing defense, no doubt about that, but I think Freeman and company can find their way through this defense and without Dixon, the Steelers' offense might not be very good this week.

Dallas Cowboys @ Houston Texans

So far this year, the Dallas Cowboys have looked bad. Their running game hasn't done anything, too many mistakes, and the defense is not forcing any turnovers.

Nobody expected this from the Cowboys, but they will be looking to upset the Texans this week. The Cowboys will just want it more and there will be a lot of Cowboys fans there since Houston is close to Dallas.

The Texans' secondary has not been playing well at all. They have allowed over 400 pass yards per game and with Romo coming in, he will destroy the Texans through the air with Austin, Williams, Dez, and Witten.

Detroit Lions @ Minnesota Vikings

The Lions are a team with a lot of talent, but they are not playing to their full potential. With Matthew Stafford out, Shaun Hill will be taking over and he goes up against a tough Vikings defense.

This game will be a defensive game and with Brett Favre and the Vikings offense playing just terrible, I think the Lions will get to Favre, force a few turnovers, and just beat the Vikings offense.

This game will be the first win for one of these teams. They will both really want it. But look for the Lions to start throwing right off the bat and go down the field for a score.

The Washington Redskins lost a thriller against the Houston Texans in week 2 of the NFL season. McNabb had over 400 yards passing and the Skins looked really good.

The Rams are 0-2 again to start the season. But Sam Bradford is looking outstanding for his first couple of starts. Expect him to have a good game.

You really can't expect much from the Rams' defense, but I think that they will stop McNabb and Portis during week 3.

Cincinnati Bengals @ Carolina Panthers

The Panthers are coming off a bad loss against the Buccaneers. Everyone looked bad except for Steve Smith. But expect things to change with the Bengals coming to town.

The Bengals have a good receiving duo with Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens. But this will not be enough for the Bengals to win.

The Bengals don't have a good defense and rookie Jimmy Clausen is ready to make his first start as an NFL player. Expect him to hook up with Steve Smith for a bunch of yards.
