Stock, Locker, and Drop it
Jake Locker has not looked very impressive this 2010 NCAA Football season. Before the season started, Locker was projected to be the number 1 pick in the 2011 NFL Draft but now it seems as if his stock is dropping. Mel Kiper Jr. has actually dropped Locker from #1 to #4 and has actually instead placed Stanford’s Andrew Luck in the #1 position. Although Locker is slipping, his numbers aren’t all that bad this season, putting up 626 yards with 6 touchdowns and 2 interceptions in just three games. These are pretty decent numbers, especially seeing that he is posting a QB Rating of 127.10.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Well then what is the reason for his recent projection rankings? Although Locker is putting up decent numbers, he is just not looking impressive out there on the field. As the number one pick, people expect you to be poised and have the ability to lead your team by any means necessary. Locker has looked like he is unable to handle all this pressure and his Washington Huskies are 1-2. Luckily for him, the season is still very young. This coming week the Huskies will play USC, who they beat last year. They also still have their Pac-10 ranked opponents Oregon State, Arizona, Stanford and Oregon for games 6 through 9. The Pac-10 has some solid teams this year and this could fare well for Locker, if he is able to bounce back and put up some great performances. We saw last year that Locker did have the ability to be a solid #1 pick, and therefore I wouldn’t be surprised if he can climb his way back to that #1 spot. Unfortunately for Locker, Andrew Luck also has the chance to play these same teams and this will help make a comparison between both quarterbacks.
The time is now for Jake Locker to change gear and prove once again why he is the number 1 pick!
This is just an opinion…so please Pardon My Bias.
