The NFL’s oldest rivalry continues on Monday night football when the upstart Chicago Bears host the Green Bay Packers. Sportsbooks like BetPhoenix have posted the latest NFL odds and they have the Packers laying three points on the road with the total set at 46.

The Green Bay Packers have started the season at 2-0 and they are a popular pick to represent the NFC in the super bowl. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is off to a great start and is the main catalyst of the Packers offense. The Packers are off a win at home over Buffalo and it was a game that never provided a challenge as they owned the hapless Bills from start to finish. The Packers defense has looked impressive this year and Clay Matthews is making a name for himself as a sack machine. He has tallied 12 tackles and six sacks on the season and will be ready to take a shot at Bear QB Jay Cutler. With Minnesota faltering early on the season the Packers challenge in the NFC North seems to start with the surprising Chicago Bears.

The Bears are 2-0 on the season and pulled off the biggest upset of the young season when they took down the Cowboys in Dallas last week. Cutler is having a great start to the season and is very comfortable into the new offensive system implemented by new offensive coordinator Mike Martz. Cutler has the highest quarterback rating in the league and in the top five when it comes to other major passing statistics. Last year Cutler had six interceptions against Green Bay and he will have to avoid turnovers if the Bears are going to beat the Packers.

The Bears host the Packers under the Monday night lights in a crucial game in the NFC North. The winner will be 3-0 on the season and be in sole possession of the top spot. The Bears qualify for two profitable angles this week. The home divisional underdog has been a profitable angle in the past on Monday nights and it will pay off again. Another great angle is backing a team that won on the road the previous week as an underdog. The theory is that team returns home brimming with confidence. The underdog has won five of six Monday night meetings and the Bears are in a prime position to win this game.
