NFL Quick Picks: Week Three
Good afternoon loyal reader, I drop my picks on you two days early because I'm headed for the Bahamas (Giggity!).
Through two weeks it's looking like I should get paid for doing this, I'm 22-9, so if you're placing bets based on my picks and are winning you can always throw some change my way.
Enough talk, let's get to the picks!

Manning Bowl 2010 saw little bro get the beat down, but at least Eli and his Giants' offense showed up (sort of) in the second half.
The same can't be said for the Tennessee Titans against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Giants' defense isn't as good as the Steelers but good enough to contain Chris Johnson and put the game in the shaky hands of Vince Young (why is he my second QB in Fantasy Football?).
The G-Men bounce back from their beat down in Indy and improve to 2-1.
Giants 24-13.

0-2 vs 2-0, as the 49ers take their winless record into Kansas City.
Frank Gore said his Niners out played the champs in their monday night loss and he's right, he's also right that they beat themselves.
People are saying that the Chiefs aren't for real at 2-0 and they're probably right, though they get some credit for beating the Chargers.
However San Fran gets their first win of the season as they begin to right the ship.
49ers 28-10

The Cowboys at 0-3? It could happen.
Houston's offense is on fire winning two shootouts against the Colts and the Redskins and the Cowboys' offense, well they should just fire some people.
When the schedule came out I thought this would be one hell of a game, but now I'm not so sure.
Some are saying this is a must win for the Cowboys, and indeed it is, and others say this is the type of game the Cowboys always win because they are the type of team that pulls those off.
Well this ain't those Cowboys. Wade Phillips a good defensive coordinator but terrible head coach, and I just don't know what to make of Jason Garrett.
As good as it felt for the Texans to get only their second win against the Colts they've had this game circled for a while now.
This season Texas's best NFL team doesn't reside in Dallas.
Texans win big 38-13.
BUF @ NE

Not much to say here, new quarterback in Buffalo, same result.
Pats roll 42-6.
CLE @ BAL

The Ravens' offense has yet to really get going to fulfil their Super Bowl dreams and the Browns are well, the Browns.
This is the weekend to start those Raven offensive weapons if you haven't already dumped them in your fantasy league.
Ravens actually score some touchdowns 24-10.

Right now there are a lot of questions and finger pointing in Minnesota in regards to why the Vikings are 0-2.
Also there is a lot of people picking the Lions in an upset with their valiant comebacks in Chicago and at home against the Vick lead Eagles.
I am not one of those people. I took the Lions in week one for the upset and the officials let me down. The Lions are going to have start winning road games (0 for their last 42 I believe) before I pick them in one again.
Vikes in a nail biter 17-13.

Garrett Hartley seems to go from goat to hero each week, so which one will it be this week?
I don't know if it will even come to it, but if it does I'm going with goat, he seems to miss more in the Superdome.
But I don't know what to make of Atlanta. The Steelers held them to 9 points then they exploded all over the Cardinals.
However the champs are still the champs and though the Falcons will give them their best I don't see the Saints losing at home, at least not yet.
Saints in another close one 24-20.
PIT @ TB

I'm not sold on the Bucs as a good team, and the Steelers' defense doesn't look like they'll give up too many points this season, or score any while Big Ben is away.
The Steelers still win 16-0.
CIN @ CAR

The Panthers look terrible and are already in panic mode by going to the rookie out of Notre Dame Jimmy Clausen.
The Bengals defense can't wait to welcome him to the NFL.
Bengals win and win big 35-6.
WAS @ STL

The Redskins could and should be 2-0, and the Rams are the Rams.
Washington showed it could put up points and move the ball against a very good Texans team, the Rams are blew a lead to the Oakland Raiders.
The crowd noise will only be effective in the first quarter then the fans will be heading for the exits.
Redskins improve to 2-1, 27-10.
PHI @ JAC

The starting job in Philly is now Vick's to lose and so is this game.
I'm not sure what to make of either team this early in the season but the Lions did hang 32 points on the Eagles late.
I'm going with MJD in this one and taking the Jags 24-21, but honestly this one is a guess.
IND @ DEN

Peyton has been on fire so far this season, couple that with the tragic loss in of WR Kenny McKinley and I don't think there will be any fire on the side of the Broncos.
They're going to try and play for their fallen teammate but the couldn't have drawn a worse team to play against.
Colts win 42-16.
OAK @ ARI

This isn't what the Cardinals pictured 2010 to look like and being sent to the bench in week 2 isn't what Jason Campbell envisioned when he was traded to Oakland.
The good news for both is that the Cardinals will win and eventually Oakland's offense will sputter (cough this week) and Jason will get a second chance.
Oakland continues to the be the bench mark of futility in the AFC.
Cards win 21-6.
SD @ SEA

Antonio Gates and Philip Rivers are going to silence the normally loud crowd in Seattle.
Chargers win big 49-14.
NYJ @ MIA

The Jets got a must win at home against the New England Patriots but may have lost Revis Island for a week or two.
The Dolphins went in to Minnesota and beat around Brett Favre to get a defensive win.
It will be defense against defense and we saw what Mark Sanchez is like when he's got pressure in his face.
The Fins win their home opener 17-9.
GB @ CHI

The Bears got one heck of a gut check win against the Cowboys in Dallas, they now host their rival the Green Bay Packers.
If the Pack want to establish themselves that the team to beat in the NFC they're going to have to go into Soldier Field and and put a smack down on the Bears.
It won't be a smack down but the Pack survive 21-17.
That's All Folks

The photo is worth a million words in describing the 2010 Cowboys.
