Dimitar Berbatov's Move to Manchester United Closer Than Ever

Manchester United are hoping to seal the deal for Tottenham's Bulgarian forward Dimitar Berbatov within the next 24 hours.

Reports suggest the Red Devils and the North Londoners have finally agreed on terms over the £27.5 transfer.

Sir Alex Ferguson has been a long-time admirer of the player. Daniel Levy and Juande Ramos are desperate to land adequate replacements for Berbatov and Robbie Keane, who earlier left for Liverpool.

Spurs have already snapped up Giovanni Dos Santos, David Bentley, and Luka Modric this summer.

Berbatov's arrival is likely to hasten Louis Saha's exit from Old Trafford. The Bulgarian is expected to undergo a medical on Friday. If all goes as planned by the Red Devils, Berbatov would get at least one practice session with the United squad before they face Newcastle United.
