Darren McFadden, Running Like a Razorback

Frank FittipaldiSep 21, 2010

After two disappointing seasons, Darren McFadden is finally proving why he was the number four overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft.

The third-year man has also been a pleasant surprise for Fantasy owners.

McFadden ran well against Tennessee carrying the ball 18 times for 95 yards and also caught 6 passes for 55 yards and a touchdown.

McFadden followed up Week 1 with a monster game against The Rams during the Raiders home opener. The former Razorback ran like he did during his collegiate days by carrying the ball a career high 30 times for 145 yards.

McFadden is tied with the league lead in touches with 56 and is second in the league in rushing yards only behind Houston Texans' Arian Foster.

No. 20 has shined during his first two weeks of the 2010 season by running with more aggression than Raider fans have been accustomed to.

His success may be due to the fact that backup Michael Bush has been sidelined with an injury the last two weeks.

However, Bush is expected to be back within the next week or two, but fantasy owners should not be worried because McFadden's play has clearly proved that he is the primary back in Oakland.
