Why Reggie Bush Should Change His Name
Reggie Bush will be out at least 6 weeks due to a fractured fibula from a hit he took on Monday night. The media hate that he has been receiving finally caught up with him. This was a bad week for Reggie, he gave back his Heisman Trophy and may have ended his season. Any time a running back injures his knee, there is due cause for concern. Former explosiveness could be gone forever. Many fans and pundits who have been secretly (and openly) wishing the downfall of everyone connected to USC are hoping Bush takes a long vacation and fades away from memory.
If Reggie can indeed come back, he should pull a Chad Johnson and change his name to "Reggie B Heisman." The name on the back of his jersey when he leads the Saints to a deep playoff run this season should be "R.B. Heisman."
He tried giving his Heisman back just to shut up the talking heads. But the heads never stop, in this case they are out for blood. This backlash is due to the beatings regularly administered by USC and the way those beatings were being celebrated under Pete Carroll.
Make those same people yell "Reggie B Heisman!" after a long run.
Say "That's Mr. Heisman to you" when a reporter asks a question you don't like.
Become the monster.
Talk about how you can't rewrite history. Talk about how nobody can change what happens on the field. Talk about the stupidity and hypocrisy of the "moral police."
The vultures won't know what to do with you then.
