10 Wrestlers Who The IWC Want To See Win a World Title Fast! CM Punk and More!
I woke this morning picked up my laptop and for some unknown reason I typed Desmond Wolf into youtube and watched his brilliant matches against Kurt Angle and also one against Bryan Danielson and I just tought oh my God how stupid can Tna be not to have this guy as a World Champ but then I was thinking well WWE are just as stupid with all the top stars they have in their ranks!
So here are in MY opinion 10 guys who us, the IWC want to see with a World Title among their accomplishments.
10. "The Veteran" MVP
Their has been dozens of debates and articles write and read about this man and how he is so misused and currently WWE have him in the middle of a feud against his former enemy Jack Swaggger but considering Swagger was in a match against Kingston this week on SD I guess it must be over.
Now WWE will have MVP back In superstars against the likes of Kozlov and Chris Masters.
Montel Vontavious Porter is very talented and deserves one last chance to earn a place in SmackDown's main event scene.
He is the longest reigning US Champion in SD history and played an awesome heel.
Terrible shame do ye guys remember this mans feuds against Ric Flair, Matt Hardy and Kane MVP showed he has a good move-set and amazing mic skills and I just now he deserves more than being on WWE
C-Show superstars.
9. "longest reigning ROH Pure Champion" Desmond Wolfe
I made a bit of statement for this guy in my intro and honestly if you have'nt seen some of his Indy matches please I beg you to check it out and you will see how greatly talented this star is.
TNA have what I think is a talented roster and Desmond Wolfe is one of the top talents but yet he is stucking fighting in their already dead Tag Team division and still stuck with Chelsea.
He is also a former ROH World Champion, and held the championship for 545 days.
He is the second longest reigning ROH World Champion in ROH history second to Samoa Joe.
Nigel McGuiness was a brilliant athlete but Desmond Wolfe is not properly utilized and should have been put in Fourtune.
I don't understand why Doug Williams or even Matt Morgan was introduced into the stable what connection did they have to Flair or any of the other members.
However, I am a fan of Doug Williams and a massive fan of Matt Morgan!
If Nigel had joined WWE when he was supposed to then would he be treated any better?
Probably not but its something Nigel is going to ask himself for the rest of his TNA career!
8. "The Wrestling Machine" Kurt Angle
With all the talk of this legend retiring if he does'nt win a World Title I think not only the IWC but every single wrestling fan on the planet wants to see Kurt lift another title.
Angle is currently a 10 Time World Champion in WCW, TNA and WWF/E.
Ever since Angle scorred gold in the prestigous Olympics he's had one heck of a career but with the new Hogan-Bischoff Era he has been stuck in a terrible storyline with TNA's Polling BS!
It hard to tell who will walk out of Bound For Glory with the gold but I know i'm up for Kurt Angle but due to Anderson and Jeff's fan base its going to be a brilliant momentum filled contest.
If Angle does leave TNA iMPACT will he return to WWE?
If them events do take place then would Angle be as poorly treated as former TNA, now WWE stars like Christian, Gail Kim and CM Punk
7. "The Ultimate Oppurtunist" Edge
The main I reason I believe the IWC wants Edge to win the title so that before he retires he can have a long reign.
Despite being a 9 time World Champion within the WWE he has still to play champion who is a cheating coward with the back of Vickie Guerero
.
EXCUSE MEEE! A line that one way or another I will always associate to Edge and his stable La Famila!
Anything like 2 months + would be a record for Edge. I tought he had a chance at Night of Champions but as King mentoined if Jericho remained in the match longer then a better alliance would of been formed.
Im a big fan of Sheamus and Edge but seriously? Two completely random guys put together because they're both heels.
Well to be honest I dont even know if Edge is a heel anymore but considering he went aginst Danielson on RAW I'm going to guess he is a heel but I would love to a face run better than the one he had on the Blue Brand earlier this year.
6. Evan "Air" Bourne
When your challenging Edge to a match, beating Jericho in singles contest and tagging up with John Cena to beat Then WWE Champion Sheamus I think its fair to say big things are expected of you.
Bourne is a tremendous up and coming star who needs to featured on RAW week in week out to get him more over with the crowd.
But in all fairness when this guy approaches the ropes the crowd go absoloutley insane they know that the brilliant Shooting Star Press is coming and Bourne has Fan of all ages.
As of late it appears Bourne has started a Tag Team up with Mark Henry and it seems to be promising but Bourne should have won a world title months ago or US at minimum.
He is a massive fan favourite and could be the next Mysterio if WWE learne how to properly utilize him.
5. "The Samoan Submission Machien" Samoa Joe
Samoa Joe is stuck with the senior citizens of TNA in a daft feud.
At one time the likes of Hogan, Jarrett, Sting and Nash were like Joe. Brilliant gifted with a promising gimmic but now them 4 men are "past it" and it is time for the like of Wolfe, Joe and The Pope.
Hogan talks a lot about the younger guys and how every one will have to earn their job that proves that yet again he talking BS!
Joe has been treated badly since his return to the iMPACT Zone including being suspended and dropped from the main event scene.
Joe has the experience, accomplishments, gimmick and fan supposrt to be a brilliant star in TNA but instead hes been terribley misused like most men on this list.
Currently, at BFG their is an exciting three way match set up between Jeff vs Anderson vs Kurt Angle and did ye guys notice that them three are top FACES and TNA lacks a dominant HEEL and if memory serves me correctly in the past has'nt Joe proved to be a brilliant heel?
4. "The Straight-Edge Savior" CM Punk
Have you ever hear the word 'talent'?
Well this guys defines that word!
CM Punk was brilliant in 2009 feuding with and beating stars like Undertaker, Jeff Hardy and Edge but a couple a months ago he got in a feud with Rey Mysterio and ever since that Punk has been in terrible form.
He cannot buy a match this weeks lose to Big Show at Night of Champions means he's gone to SummerSlam, Main evented Smackdown, appeared on RAW and at Night Of Champions and for what to be a jobber to The Big Show and Undertaker.
I can understand why he is jobbing to Taker like in all fairness these two had a brilliant feud this time last year but Bis Show?
WTF?
The mans good on the mic and good in the ring considering he bills in at almost 500 pounds and on top of that he is 38.
Its not as if he is a star thats going to be here for years to come. WWE are letting Dolph Ziggler claim a clean victory vs Kingston but yet they are having Big Show beat Punk week in, week out.
It makes no sense and now his stable the Straight Edge Society is in ruins with a talented Diva departed and another talented star injured whilst a tall bald guy who Vince is probably high on for them reasons is also in terrible form.
Punk is in need of a clean win before he can get a title never mind a World Title but WWE have lost Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy and Anderson to TNA and to be honest I wouldmnt be shocked to see Punk amongst TNA's Ranking's.
3. "The Man Who Will Not Die" Matt Hardy
Poor Matt will be soon unemployed it seemed with all the talk that is buzzing round the internet.
Lets take a trip down memory lane to about 18 months agoe and have a look at Matt's sudden heel turn and feud against Jeff.
Okay, So at WM 25 Matt pinned Jeff (who was in the middle of a push) and oh my god ye guys have no idea of how happy I was to see Matt have his hand raised because I was pretty certain that was the start of what was going to turn Matt into everything him and his fans have dreamed about for years!
Come foward 18 months and what has he done recently in the WWE?
Nothing
Any sign off Matt being injected to a major or even minor storyline?
No
Would he be a deserving Champion?
Hell Yeah!!
This is a guy who has went through dozens of Ladder matches, Extreme Rules matches and of course TLC matches and he has nothing major to show from it.
Swagger, Sheamus and Mysterio have all recently been given weak title runs and I dont care what people say or think but I would be happy if Matt would at least be given one of them.
Then he would have more reason to be a future Hall Of Fammer and a longer C.V
But I think Matt's only hope of gold is in TNA and that sad in a way that he would have to leave a promotion that he worked so hard for to get what he deserves from this industry.
2. "Captain Charisma" Christian
One question I would love to ask Vince is:
If Christian had'nt joined TNA a couple of years ago would we be seeing him a World Champ now or at least a contender?
Charisma, Brilliant in-ring ability, Expierence, Passion, Platform for a brilliant feud against Edge are just some things that Christian would bring to any Title Scene.
He is so over with the crowd and just imagen how more over he would be if he was carrying a World Title to the ring with him.
This feud with Del Rio is one to watch and hopefully they will end up having a match at Hell In a Cell. That would expand Christian's fan base if he got a win but considering thats doubtful his peeps are just going to have to keep waiting.
With the roster apparently set to be shaken up due to SmackDown moving to SyFy either Christian will be burried under SmackDown's new addition's or he will shine and get a move to RAW and get into their main event scene.
Christian is one of my all time favourites and some times I just wish he never left TNA to be honest or that ECW never shut and he remained the face of the show.
1. "The Shaman of Sexy" John Morrison
WWE fastest rising star of 2009 the one and only John Morrison or as the IWC call him JoMo.
Morrison's career in WWE started brightly with Melina and Joey Mercury as a tag team known as MNM!
In their first match for the brand, they won the WWE Tag Team Championship from Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero.
Since then JoMo has had many ups including winning an ECW "World" title, Intercontenental Championships and United States titles.
Whilst in "MY" opinion losing The Miz as an ally, being un-fairly screwed out of the chance of appearing in Night Of Champions' 6-Pack Challenge, moving from SmackDown to RAW.
Despite RAW being the "A-Show" Morrison has had very little to do since his move apart from a poor feud with DiBiase and a feud with Jericho that seems to be going nowhere considering Jericho is taking some time off to go touring with his band Fozzy.
Any one who has read my previous article knows I am a massive Morrison fan and anyone who has ever joined this site also knows that most Pro Wrestling fans here are big fans of him.
I think JoMo needs a change of character or something to stir up things to get the attention of WWE hieracrchy. WWE has lost JBL, Batista, Benjamin, Micheals, Flair, Mickie James, Kennedy, Jeff Hardy, Umaga all within the past two years will John Morrison be next to leave if he doesn't get what he deserves?
YES!
Notable Mentions
The Undertaker - One of Pro Wrestling's greats and a man with a huge fan base needs a title to prove hes not "past it".
AJ Styles - I hate heel AJ but either way he is an amazing, appreciated performer who is always worthy of a World Title run.
Wade Barrett - With super-brilliant mic skills, the perfect look, a strong stable to back you up, good gimmick and totally hated amongst the WWE Universe isn't that all you need to be a top quality star and Champion in the WWE.
Bryan Danielson - WWE must be high on him if they brought him back even considering all the controversy surrounding him and his release from the company and featured him brilliant in two consecutive PPV's he is as Micheal Cole reminds us every week "the Internets favourite wrestler".
Thank you for reading please may I have some feedback?
