New Orleans Saints Come into Candlestick Looking To Take Care of 49ers
What a tale of two teams this game presents. Take Example A: New Orleans Saints. This team had nowhere to go but down after winning the Super Bowl and a lot of people expected a hangover from the six-month party in the French Quarter that seemed to be happening since they beat the Colts in the Super Bowl.
Funny thing is, these boys weren't hung over, in fact they came out in an NFL opening Thursday night game against the Vikings and got their drink on. Their defense looked better than it did last year, even if their offense didn't play up to it's usual standard. Expect that to change tonight.
Allow me to bring your attention to Example B: San Francisco 49ers. This team was the unanimous favorite to win the lowly NFC West and then came out and got dismantled by A Seahawks team they were clearly better than.
Alex Smith couldn't get play calls off, Michael Crabtree looked lost and confused and more like a seventh rounder than a first rounder. Frank Gore, the catalyst that will need to make this offense go if the 49ers want any success was shut down.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Mike Singletary spent the week telling everybody how good his team is and how good they will be against New Orleans on Monday night.
He doesn't care about rats of dag-gone Yahoo! articles. He just knows that his team will shut Drew Brees down. They won't try to shut Drew Brees down, they will shut Drew Brees down. If you haven't seen that interview with Dennis O'Donnell do yourself a favor and watch it. Pure entertainment. Watch it here.
You have to like Singletary's moxie and this team will probably get things turned around. New Orleans in prime time is just not the team or the time to do it. Expect San Francisco to hang in this game right until the end, but ultimately look for New Orleans to win fueled by a strong game from Drew Brees.
