Jeff Fisher Jumps Ship on Vince Young, Leaves Titans Fans Wondering
Benching Vince Young has become virtually an annual occurrence after Young was pulled by Jeff Fisher in the fourth quarter of their 19-11 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Don't be fooled by the mini-comeback attempt led by Kerry Collins and think that this decision was best for the team.
It was a panic decision that could affect this team in a negative way from a long-term perspective.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
If Young decides to get out of dodge and go play for a coach who will stick behind him, then where does that leave the Titans at quarterback? You can't rely on the aging Collins to play for too many more years.
Young is the franchise player of this team, whether we like it or not, and Fisher has to stand by his starting quarterback through the hard times and the good times.
In reality, Young threw two interceptions against arguably the best defense in the NFL over the last five years.
The fumble was more on Chris Johnson laying down and surrendering to James Harrison instead of him at least attempting to make a block.
In my eyes, you put two turnovers on Young and two on Johnson. So how does that justify benching your starter in Week 2 against a great defense?
Not to take anything away from what Collins did after he entered the game, but his numbers are inflated thanks to playing against a notorious prevent defense.
Who knows what could have happened if Young would have gotten the chance to lead a comeback against a prevent defense? Maybe Young could have had even more opportunities to gain big yards through the air thanks to his threat to run.
Whether he shows it or not, Young's confidence is once again near rock bottom after his coach has again pushed the panic button on him.
Now Fisher continues to repeat himself that Young is the starter for the rest of the season, and he's going to keep answering that question until he makes sense out of his decision to pull his starter after just two interceptions.
There's no doubt about it that Fisher is a great coach, but the way he has handled Young since he has been in Tennessee has been far from it.
