Brandon Jacobs Trade: Five Possible Landing Spots For The New York Giant RB
Brandon Jacobs and The New York Giants are headed for a divorce after Jacob's latest benching Sunday night versus the Indianapolis Colts.
Of course, the helmet toss into the stands certainly didn't help anything, but Head Coach Tom Coughlin apparently has had enough of Jacobs and is ready to move on without him.
Jacobs is 28 years old, meaning he still has some gas left in the tank.
So who would be interested in a guy who has run for 3,499 yards in his six-year NFL career?

The Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns have a running back problem. Even the backs they do have aren't getting a lot of yards.
Their planned feature running back, Montario Hardesty, is out for the year with a torn ACL.
Last year's breakout player, Jerome Harrison, is fumbling the ball and not getting through the line while the offseason acquisition Peyton Hillis is more of a power fullback than a traditional running back.
Team President Mike Holmgren said in the offseason he wanted a nice "pile" of running backs, and Jacobs could be the newest back on that pile.
Denver Broncos

The Broncos have had problems with injuries this year, and even Knowshon Moreno hasn't been 100 percent healthy so far.
McDaniels has shown he's not afraid to make big trades and shake things up, so Jacobs might be ideal for a team that needs a little more depth at running back.
Chicago Bears

Matt Forte is the Bears featured back, but there's not much behind him.
Chester Taylor is getting old and Garrett Wolf and Kahlil Bell aren't exactly household names.
You could trade one of those guys as part of a package to give the Bears a 1-2 punch in the backfield.
Washington Redskins

After Clinton Portis, who do the Redskins have?
They have Larry Johnson, an aging running back who hasn't had a 1,000-yard rushing season since 2006.
The only problem here is, these teams are in the same division, but that didn't stop Shanahan from trading with the Eagles, so there's no reason to think it can't happen again.
New England Patriots

The Patriots starting running back, Fred Taylor, is 86 years old. Kevin Faulk is 73 and Sammy Morris is a spry 67 years old.
The only running back under the age of 30 on that team is BenJarvis Green-Ellis.
The reason Belichick is carrying four running backs is three of them are too old to take the pounding of 25-30 carries a game.
Jacobs, while not a spring chicken, still could be considered in the prime of his career.
