1. Week 2 of the NFL regular season sees the Texans, Dolphins, and Steelers (among others) go to 2-0 while the Vikings and Cowboys are a surprising 0-2 to start the season.
2. Michigan State HC Mark Dantonio suffers a mild heart attack but is resting comfortably after the Spartans shock Notre Dame in overtime on Saturday night.
3. The Giants jump back into first place in the NL West by beating the Brewers while the Padres and Rockies both lose to fall further back in the division.
4. Clint Bowyer breaks an 88-race winless streak and wins the first race in the Chase for the Sprint Cup at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
5. The Phillies rally with four runs in the ninth inning to defeat the Nationals 7-6 to stay three games ahead in the NL East before a big showdown series against Atlanta this week.

Houston rallies from a 17-point deficit to force overtime and wins it with 3:24 left in the extra session on a Neil Rackers 35-yard FG.

Philadelphia scores four in the ninth inning on a Ryan Howard two-run single and a Jayson Werth walk-off two-run HR to complete the comeback and maintain a three-game lead in the NL East.
3. Dodgers 7, Rockies 6 (F/11)
Los Angeles rallies from an early 6-1 deficit and wins the game on a C.J. Ellis RBI single to beat Colorado and drop them 1.5 games back in the NL West.
