WWE Night of Champions Results: Daniel Bryan Wins U.S. Title From The Miz

Prior to the match there’s a short video package explaining the timeline rivalry between the Miz and Daniel Bryan. They completely cut out Daniels involvement in the nexus storyline. 

Miz makes his way to the ring first with his previous nxt mentor Alex Riley, why is he still hanging around now that his season of nxt is over? Daniel Bryan makes his way to the ring next looking confident and happy.

Miz and Daniel Bryan lock up for the grapple and Miz comes off strong at first, but Daniel Bryan bounces back and tries to lock in a submission move on Miz.

Daniel Bryan tries to work on Miz arm with submission moves, but Miz cowards away from the ring and takes a cheap shot at Daniel Bryan to gain an advantage over and some added heat. Miz works on Daniel Bryan’s back and shoulders to weaken his chances of using cross face submission move effectively. Miz manages to escape but Miz knocks him right back down and starts working on his arm again.

Alex Riley takes a cheap punch to Daniel Bran when the referee isn’t looking to gain some heat and then the Miz again goes back to working on Daniel Bryan's arm. Daniel Bran again manages to get out but Miz lands a shoulder braker and pins Daniel Bran for a two counted pin. 

Miz again continues to work on Daniel Bryans shoulder and wear him down until Daniel Bryan breaks free and throws the Miz out of the ring and suicide dives onto him. The action starts to pick up to a faster pace and the crowd get more excited.

Daniel Bryan pins Miz for a two count after another aerial maneuver from the top rope. Miz kicks Daniel Bran into the corner but Daniel Bryan comes out of the corner fighting and pins Miz for another two count. The wrestlers get back to their feet and exchange punches until Daniel Bryan starts kicking the Miz in the corner until he falls to his knees and Daniel Bran lands a kick to the head and knocks Miz down for a while.

Daniel Bryan goes for a pin but Miz kicks out after another two count. Miz takes Daniel Bryan down with a clothsline off the top rope after Daniel Bryan attempted a supplex on Miz from the top rope but failed.

Miz again works on Daniel Bryans arm until he gets to the ropes. Alex Riley interferes only to be pushed off the ropes and Daniel Bryan quickly attempts another roll up pin. Miz’s frustration begins to get the best of him and he starts attacking Daniel Bryan with punches and kicks until the referee stops him.

Daniel Bryan locks the crossface in the centre of the ring and the Miz taps out and Daniel Bryan is crowned as the new united states champion. Daniel Bryan celebrates in the ring as the Miz sits outside the ring looking miserable and almost starts crying.
