Macho Rhino's Week 2 NFL Game Predictions

Macho RhinoSep 18, 2010

Week 2 of the NFL season and pressure is already hitting some teams. Those with playoff hopes don’t want to start 0-2. This week features Jets/Patriots, Chris Johnson vs. the Steelers and the Manning Bowl. See my picks below and leave a comment on what you think.  After a 10-5 start to the season, here's to hoping I'm better this week:

Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals – The Bengals O-line is looking suspect and that’s not good against the Ravens. The Baltimore D will face a much better offense but the Ravens offense should look good. Ravens 23, Bengals 20
Chicago Bears at Dallas Cowboys – The Cowboys have to be chomping at the bit to get the taste of Sunday night out of their mouth. They know that’s a game they should have won. The Bears are still a work in progress with that offense and I expect Jay Cutler to get hit a lot in this game. Cowboys 24, Bears 14
Arizona Cardinals at Atlanta Falcons – The Falcons will swarm Derek Anderson and have the Cardinals scouring the league for a QB next week. Falcons 24, Cardinals 13
Buffalo Bills at Green Bay Packers – The Packers will adjust to no Ryan Grant this week but the Bills still won’t have any chance of winning. Packers 35, Bills 13
Philadelphia Eagles at Detroit Lions – Matthew Stafford and Kevin Kolb are out so back-up QBs will battle in Detroit. The Eagles have more playmakers with Michael Vick in the line-up and he’ll be the difference. Eagles 27, Lions 24
Pittsburgh Steelers at Tennessee Titans – Chris Johnson will face a stiff rush defense in Pittsburgh so Vince Young will have to make some plays with play-action to pull this one out. I think the Titans D locks up Dennis Dixon. Titans 13, Steelers 9
Kansas City Chiefs at Cleveland Browns – Two teams offensively challenged collide. The Browns need this win but KC has the playmakers on defense and special teams to edge out a win. Chiefs 17, Browns 14
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Carolina Panthers – Matt Moore must make better decisions this week because if he struggles again, Jimmy Clausen will become the starter in week 3. Panthers 20, Buccaneers 13
Miami Dolphins at Minnesota Vikings – Favre’s ad another week to work with his receivers. The Vikes will lean on their defense again who should have a strong showing. Vikings 20, Dolphins 16
Seattle Seahawks at Denver Broncos – The Seahawks were shocking in their dismantling of the 49ers last week. Kyle Orton should play well but Matt Hasselbeck plays better and gets his team to an unexpected 2-0 start. Seahawks 24, Broncos 20
St. Louis Rams at Oakland Raiders – Oakland will be a tough place for rookie Sam Bradford to make his first road start. The Raiders will be ready to bounce back from a dismal week 1 performance. Raiders 24, Rams 10
New England Patriots at New York Jets – The Jets must find a way to make plays down the field. It’s not just Mark Sanchez. Receivers must catch the ball. Their defense batters Tom Brady this week and they will avoid the horrendous 0-2 home start. Jets 15, Patriots 13
Houston Texans at Washington Redskins – The Redskins must improve the offense. Houston is firing on all cylinders already and should have any easy time with the ‘Skins. Texans 28, Redskins 17
Jacksonville Jaguars at San Diego Chargers – The Chargers better hope their line plays better because the Jags can pressure the QB. I think this is a toss-up game but will go with Phillip Rivers to pull it out. MJD will have a big game to keep the Jags in it. Chargers 23, Jaguars 21
New York Giants at Indianapolis Colts – The Manning Bowl is in Indy on Sunday night. Peyton won’t make the same mistakes Matt Moore did to help the Gaints out. He’ll light up the G-men. Colts 30, Giants 17
New Orleans Saints at San Francisco 49ers – The 49ers came off the worst week 1 performance in the NFL. Mike Singletary won’t let them play like that two straight weeks. The Saints have had 10 days to prepare and Drew Brees will find a way but it goes to the wire on Monday night. Saints 30, 49ers 28
