San Francisco 49ers Too Much To Handle for the New Orleans Saints on MNF

This Monday night the defending Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints attempt to remain unbeaten as they battle San Francisco 49ers. BetMania has posted the latest NFL odds and the Saints are 5.5 point road favorites and the total is set at 45.

The New Orleans Saints started the season where they left off, with a big win at home. The Saints did not put up as many points as they have been known to do, but they seemingly controlled the game from start to finish.

Singletary “called out” quarterback Alex Smith, receiver Michael Crabtree and the offensive line, a team source told Comcast SportsNet after the game.

If the 49ers want to impress the coach and have a chance of winning this season, it starts with this game, but the 49ers have even more incentive to win this game on Monday night.

The San Francisco 49ers has announced plans to retire Jerry Rice’s jersey at halftime of the game. The last thing they would want to do is lose the game that honors one of their best players of all time.

Game time prediction: The 49ers play up to the level of their opponent and they will be damned and determined to win this game under the national spotlight. They got caught looking forward to this game and Seattle made them pay, so they are focused for this showdown. The 49ers have been one of the better Monday night teams over the years. Singletary has this team focused and running back Frank Gore will get 100 yards as the 49ers win this game outright.
