Liverpool's Reserve team and Hungarian international backup goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi has joined League One outfit Tranmere Rovers on a month-long emergency loan deal.

Rovers' two senior keepers have both picked up injuries, meaning that Gulacsi is likely to figure straight away in the first team against Charlton Athletic at the weekend.

Gulacsi, 20, has previously had loan spells at Hereford in 2009, and coincidentally at Tranmere again only last season, where he made five appearances.

Peter Gulacsi joined Liverpool from the Reds' feeder club MTK in 2007, initially on a one-year loan deal before signing a permanent contract the following season.

He is yet to figure in a competitive match for Liverpool, although he has been on the bench on several occasions and also figured in first team preseason friendly games earlier this season.
