Maryland Terrapins (2-0 ATS, 2-0 SU) – The Terps have played great ball this year, proving their defense could ball against Navy and following it up with a 62 point outing against Morgan State.
NC State Wolfpack (2-0 ATS, 2-0 SU) – Give the Wolfpack some credit for going down to the Sunshine State and taking out the Knights, avenging the 2008 home loss.
Virginia Cavaliers (2-0 ATS, 1-1 SU) – UVA nearly pulled off the huge upset against the Trojans in So Cal last week, but there is still a lot of work to do to stick around in the ACC.
North Carolina Tar Heels (1-0 ATS, 0-1 SU) – We know that the Tar Heels played their hearts out two weeks ago in the loss to LSU, but we aren’t going to know just how good this team is without its defenders until we see it on the field again.
Duke Blue Devils (1-1 ATS, 1-1 SU) – The Dookies nearly won a big conference road game last week, but the defense proved not to have enough in the tank to take out Wake Forest. QB Sean Renfree is one of two college football quarterbacks to throw for at least 350 yards in two straight games.
Miami Hurricanes (1-1 ATS, 1-1 SU) – Miami couldn’t take out Ohio State last week, which cost it a chance to really move up in the polls. Jacory Harris probably lost his Heisman hopes as well with four picks.
Florida State Seminoles (1-1 ATS, 1-1 SU) – Getting rocked in Norman will leave a sour taste in the mouths of Seminole Nation. Jimbo Fisher can make amends this week at home against BYU.
Wake Forest Demon Deacons (1-1 ATS, 2-0 SU) – We don’t care much about wins over either Presbyterian or Duke. Wake has a ways to go.
Clemson Tigers (0-2 ATS, 2-0 SU) – The Tigers are winning, but it hasn’t been pretty. Clemson can change all that if it beats Auburn on the road this weekend.
Boston College Eagles (0-2 ATS, 2-0 SU) – We love the Mark Herzlich story, but the Eagles need to face a quality foe or cover a spread before we buy in.
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (0-2 ATS, 1-1 SU) – Say good night to the National Championship dreams in Atlanta. The Jackets were beaten by Kansas on the road 28-25 in what might prove to be one of the more embarrassing losses for the conference this year.
Virginia Tech Hokies (0-2 ATS, 0-2 SU) – Losing to Boise State was bad. Losing to James Madison was downright embarrassing and incredibly inexcusable.
