WWE Night of Champions Preview: Who Will Play a Role in The Lumberjill Match

Good day Bleachers. Night of Champions is coming up and a lot of big matches coming along the PPV. I would like to focus on the unification of the women's title and the diva's title. The Divas title was created back in 2008 by Vickie Guerrero to balance out the titles in the WWE. There was the WWE title for the World Heavyweight title, the IC title for the US title and the Divas title for the Womens.

But since the divas division has been dragging along and WWE has finally heard the yawns of the crowd during these matches that they decided to focus on one title now. Kinda the same mindset when they unified the tag belts.

So anyways, we have Melina, our Divas champion against one half of LayCool, co-womens champion. WWE hasn't mentioned who in LayCool will compete but I am betting its Layla.

More importantly, who are the ten divas that will participate at NoC? Who will they side with?

The Lumberjills

Alicia Fox

The Lumberjill Match was proposed by Melina so you can bet that the match is on her favor. After all, how many Heel Divas are there? I ask this question because face Divas usually side with the face diva: Melina. Aside from LayCool, how many heel divas are there?

One heel diva that comes to mind is Alicia Fox. 

Its only obvious that the former Divas champ would participate in the Lumberjill Match and its no suprise that she will jump at the diva who took the title away from her.

You can expect her to jump at Melina at every opportunity and may even drag the Divas  champ out of the ring.

Maryse

The Next Heel that comes to mind is Maryse. 

In Smackdown, there was Michelle McCool douching it up and leading the divas. In Raw, you have Maryse. The canadian, french speaking, now manager of Ted Dibiase will most likely join the Lumberjill match and will be helping LyCool out.

As I said, there are only a handful of heels in the WWE right now and a classic Lumberjill formula is that the heels always side with the heel and the faces to the face. So Maryse is there to balance and add numbers for the heels. 

Michelle McCool

As I said before, Layla maybe the one competing at NoC so its only natural that the other half of LayCool will be a Lumberjill.

Michelle and Layla has had a hot streak right now and I really like the way they team up and help the other out. You know it works since they been LayCool ever since Mickie James was around.

You can expect Michelle to distract the referee, pull Melina out of the ring and at the climax of the match, she may even be ejected from the match.

Vickie Guerrero

Again, to balance up the heel face ratio, you have Vickie Guerrero. 

At Wrestlemania, we saw Vikie Guerrero hog splash her way to victory so it'll be fun to see Vickie in the Lumberjill match.

She may not be athletic but she can help out by distracting the referee. 

Tamina

She may not be a heel but she looks like one. After all, Natalya will most likely side with Melina so its only natural that she helps out LayCool in this bout.

I may see Natalya and Tamina get it on since they are managing the top tag team of the WWE right now.

The Faces

Up next are the faces. 

Looking at the match and carefully thinking hard on it, I really doubt any face is effective as a Lumberjill. Sadly the faces only strength are numbers since there are a lot of face divas in the match.

Here are the divas you can expect to side with Melina:

The Bella Twins, not really much to expect from them. All they are expected to do is to add numbers, as I said.

Kelly Kelly, again, another diva to add number. Or she maybe be at the receiving end of a beat down from LayCool if she decides to help Melina out. She seems to be good at taking bumps.

Jillian Hall, again, numbers. I honestly don't even know if she is a heel or a face since she rarely have any matches on TV but I'm guessing she's face.

Tiffany, you can guess what she will do right? Take up space. Yeah.

Gail Kim

I don't see her doing anything spectacular in the match but I do see her saving Melina if she gets jumped by the heels.

I am hoping she lays out one of the heels but hey, I can hope.

Its actually sad that at such a monumental match, all she does is help another diva win the gold when she is so much more deserving.

Eve

Eve and Melina has been ganging up and as you can see on the video, she was on the losing side of things so you can expect her to get some revenge on LayCool.

You may even see her actually joining Melina and take on LayCool maybe after the match, granted Melina wins.

Beth Phoenix

Who else wants to see her return? And it'll be such a huge return if she do it on NoC.

Beth Phoenix has taken some time off after the Womens title was taken away from her by Layla. So I think the time is right for the glamazon to return and make an impact.

Whoever wins at NoC, I can see her chase after the title.

Lumberjills will be a huge factor at the match in NoC and I hope that they make the match memorable.
