2010 Fantasy Football Week 2 Rankings: Quarterbacks
The first week of the 2010 NFL regular season is in the books and there was no shortage of interesting developments from the quarterback position. New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is still one of the best in the business. Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is injured again. Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning can put up great numbers, even in a loss. Barring a super quick recovery from Kevin Kolb (concussion), Michael Vick will start at quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, at least for this week.
Week 2 does not bring us as many noteworthy matchups as Week 1, and across the board you’ll see most of the quarterback projections are down a few points. If your starting quarterback went down with an injury or his performance left you wanting more in Week 2, Vick looks like a very intriguing option against the Lions. We rank Vick as the No. 6 quarterback this week and project him to rack up 19 points. To find out where the remaining signal callers fall, continue reading the Week 2 Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
**RANKINGS BASED ON STANDARD SCORING - 1 POINT PER 25 PASSING YARDS, 1 POINT PER 10 YARDS RUSHING, 4 POINTS ALL PASSING TOUCHDOWNS, -2 POINTS ALL TURNOVERS**
The San Francisco 49ers were supposed to have one of the league’s elite defenses, as well as a great matchup against a rebuilding Seattle Seahawks offense last week. Yet the 49ers allowed Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck to complete 76.2 percent of his passes with two passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. Clearly, there is still some work to be done with that San Francisco secondary. That’s why you should fully expect New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees to bounce back after a mediocre Week 1 showing and post a great game this week. Brees did not light up the scoreboard last week against the Minnesota Vikings but the Saints offense still looked good. Expect him to regain his form in Week 2.
Point Projection: 22 points
2. Philip Rivers (San Diego Chargers) vs. Jacksonville
The Jacksonville Jaguars defense looked serviceable last week, giving up 17 points to the Denver Broncos. Let’s be honest, though, Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton isn’t the greatest player in the world. The Jaguars face a much tougher test this week in trying to stop San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers. The weakness of the Jacksonville defense is its secondary and Rivers will be able to exploit them. Like we saw in a Week 1 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, look for Rivers to find a variety of receivers while on his way to a 300 passing yards and two touchdown performance.
Point Projection: 20 points
