5 Things We Learned From Todays Butt-Kicking From Seattle

Harrison GhizSep 12, 2010

Todays game was a disgrace. I was screaming at the TV, yelling how mad I was, how terrible the throws were, how the defense just couldn't seem to stop the weak passing game of the Seahawks. I am going to break down 5 things that I really noticed today that stood out and things that can or can't be improved on. But today was a terrible day for me considering I hate Seattle more than any other team in the NFL. So I am probably more upset than all of you.

5. Mike Singletary Is To Freaking Conservative

It was middle of the third quarter. 4th and like 5 or so. Score; 28-6 Seahawks. Out goes the punt team. WHY? What in God's name was going through his head when he decided to punt. There was pretty much nothing to lose. At least give a chance to light a fire under your teams ass and get em goin

4. Patrick Willis Was The Only One Playing With Heart The Entire Game

Every time I looked up he was always hustling and trying to make a play. Not that he always doesn't do that but what stood out was he was the only freaking player on the 49ers defense doing it.

3. Vernon Davis Was and Is Unstoppable

The Seahawks could not stop or even think about slowing VD down. Smith did not look at him or Josh Morgan enough, but mainly Vernon Davis. I don't think anyone in the NFL can slow him down and Alex Smith needs to realize that

2. The Secondary Was The Weakest Part Of The Defense

This is what I expected to be the weak point of the team this season, but not to get trashed by Seattle. The teams with good pass attacks like New Orleans, Green Bay, San Diego, Atlanta, yes, but Seattle, no. On any sort of hitch and go route the corners knees buckled. Their knees/ankles would snap and they would fall to the ground, get burned, get up and look at Mike Williams (who is rated as one of the biggest busts in NFL history!!!) or that other guy or that one other guy celebrating. This was the second most annoying thing to me today.

1. Alex Smith Fulfilled His Bust Legacy

Wow. Thats all I have to say is wow. His decision making was pathetic. His accuracy was off. He was just awful. The line gave him enough time 95% of the game to make the right throws in the right places but he just could not do it. He was just pathetic, annoying, and embarrassing to watch because I was with my friends and it was just bad.

What Do You Think Are The Important Points of The Game?
