Tim Tebow: 10 Reasons He's Better Than Brady Quinn
Many of teams passed on Tim Tebow's talents during the NFL Draft but the Broncos believed in the young college star from Florida.
Despite being knocked for not being able to throw, the Broncos picked Tebow 25th overall in the draft.
Tebow exceeded some expectations today when he was named as the no. 2 quarterback behind Kyle Orton.
While Tebow's stock is on the rise, Brady Quinn's star keeps on fading. The former Notre Dame star has now been relegated to a third-string role.
Here are 10 reasons why Tim Tebow is better than Brady Quinn in the NFL.
10. New Delivery
1 of 10
Tebow worked on his release and improved his delivery prior to the NFL draft.
After a successful career in college, Tebow's delivery was scrutinized because it was too slow and would not be successful in the NFL.
So he fixed it.
His new throwing motion no longer dips below the waist. The new mechanics certainly makes him a much better passer.
9. Picks Up the Offense Quickly

Looking back at the first game of the preseason.
Who had a rocky start to their Broncos career? The four-year veteran or the rookie?
Quinn looked lost manning the offense, misread a few plays and threw away an interception.
He completed 6-of-16 passes for 68 yards.
Tebow, on the other hand, converted 8-of-13 passes for 105 yards. He also ran the ball twice and scored one touchdown.
8. Improvement

Tebow after being drafted, was viewed as a player that would not contribute immediately and still had a lot of work to do in order to improve as a quarterback.
So third-string duties were expected for him during the preseason.
Despite still showing that he had more work ahead of him as a passer, Tebow improved enough during the preseason that he managed to gain the trust of head coach Josh McDaniel.
During the preseason exhibited a better command of the offense than Brady Quinn.
7. Change Of Pace

Tebow offers the Broncos more options on offense as a mobile-quarterback.
During his college years, Tebow was a threat on the ground as well as with his arm.
He collected 57 TDs in 48 games running the ball while with the Florida Gators.
Quinn, on the other hand, has one rushing touchdown in 14 NFL games played.
This ability to run, is simply a dimension that Brady Quinn cannot offer Denver.
6. Intangibles

Tim Tebow is a winner.
He owns a Heisman trophy and a pair of national championships.
We've learned many times that successful college quarterbacks don't necessarily translate into successful NFL players.
But there's something else about Tebow that can't be coached—it's his ability to make big plays.
He steps up during big games and plays well under pressure.
Brady Quinn? Let's not even go there.
5. Work Ethic and Desire
6 of 10
Despite winning two BCS National Championships, Tebow has continued to work hard to improve himself as a player.
He worked on his fundamentals before he was even drafted proving that he has a desire to improve, learn and work hard. Again, something cannot be taught.
Those traits are qreat qualities to have in any player.
While some players simply get lost in their own ego and talents, Tebow has shown humility and a willingness to learn.
4. Better Potential

Tebow is younger with the ability to give the give the Broncos offense a dual-threat at the quarterback position.
While Quinn's potential was high upon entering the league, he has show very little hope of living up to his expectations.
Whereas, in Tebow's case, there's been plenty of reason to think that he will find a way to succeed in the NFL.
After their Week 1 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars some fans are already calling for Tebow time!
3. Better Quarterback
8 of 10
At this point, Tebow is already the better quarterback than Quinn.
With a stronger control of the offense and the athleticism to scramble of the pocket and make plays, who would you rather have as the backup to Kyle Orton?
Quinn or Tebow?
2. Second on The QB Depth Chart
9 of 10
Before their Sunday game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tebow was officially announced as the number 2 quarterback in their depth chart.
They finally gave Tebow his due.
His hard work paid off.
With a better knack for the offense and the ability to be a threat as a runner, it was clear why the Broncos moved him up the depth chart.
1. Special Packages On Offense
10 of 10
The Broncos believe in Tebow's ability so much that they've inserted special packages for him in their offense.
He was inserted on the third play of the Broncos opening drive and rushed the ball one yard on a quarterback keeper.
Two plays later, he lined up as wide receiver but never got a look.
We don't see the Broncos going out of their way to install an plays specific to Quinn's talents. Take a guess on who they like more?
