Finally! September Is Here and The NFL Is Back
Welcome to the NFL, 2010 edition. Let's have some fun with this season since it may be the last of organized professional football for awhile.
Each week I will post my picks right here on Bleacher Report and give you the public an opportunity to roast me or toast me. I will then do a follow-up article each Tuesday to discuss the top ten things we learned that week.
Disclaimer: Much like you would not peruse the pages of Playboy seeking a wife (like they would have you anyway), do not use my picks in the pursuit of financial prosperity. If you do so, proceed with caution. Better yet, just don't proceed at all.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
By the way, I realize I am a day late and missed the first game (my dog ate my computer). So let's just call it 0-1.
Now, let's get to the fun and may the football gods be with you and your team.
Cleveland @ Tampa Bay - Two sure-to-be cellar dwellers. I have to go with the home team in this one. I'll take Tampa Bay.
Miami @ Buffalo - How improved is Chad Henne? It won't matter in this one. He could probably hop in Doc Brown's DeLorean and travel back in time to his freshman year at Michigan and still beat this Buffalo team. I'll take Miami.
Cincinnati @ New England - Cincinnati wins the wide receiver with a reality show competition 2-0. New England wins the football game.
Carolina @ New York Giants - Opening day at the New Meadowlands Stadium. I believe wins will be hard to come by for the G-Men this year, but not this week. I'll take the Giants.
Atlanta @ Pittsburgh - Troy Polamalu (and his hair) is back. Ben won't be for four weeks. I think Dennis Dixon gets it done. I'll take Pittsburgh.
Oakland @ Tennessee - The Raiders finally have a real quarterback. Problem for them is the Titans have a pretty good one too. The Titans also have this guy named Chris Johnson. I hear he is pretty good. I'll take the Titans.
Denver @ Jacksonville - This game kind of reminds me of the Cleveland-Tampa Bay game; I can't make a good case for either team. Just for shiggles I'll take Denver.
Indianapolis @ Houston - Wow, what did these two teams do to upset the schedule gods? The first week? Really? Houston is improved, but Indy still has that Manning guy (the one with all of the MVP's). I'll take Indianapolis.
Arizona @ St. Louis - This is not the Arizona of the past few years. I like Sam Bradford and the Rams.
Green Bay @ Philadelphia - If McNabb was still in Philly I would vote to move this one to Monday night. However, I'm still not sure about Kevin Kolb. One thing I am sure of...Aaron Rodgers. I'll take the Pack on the road.
San Fransisco @ Seattle - Sorry Pete Carroll, all players get paid in the NFL. No advantage for you there. Besides, Mike Singletary scares the hell out of me. I'll take the Niners.
Dallas @ Washington - Dallas has a good defense. They have some holes on the offensive line. This is a tough divisional game on the road in Week 1. I'll take the 'Skins at home.
Baltimore @ NY Jets - The Jets have Mark Sanchez. I'll take the Ravens. Besides, Ray Lewis scares the hell out of me.
San Diego @ Kansas City - I think KC will be better this year, but not better than San Diego. I'll take the Chargers.
Back to that Manning guy for a minute (the one with all of the MVP's); isn't it about time we just name the darn trophy after him? After all, if you say "so-and-so won the Peyton Manning award this year" don't you think common sense tells you what the award is? I'm just saying.
See you Tuesday.
