It's Women's Semifinal day, and the top seed was sent packing. It's still windy in Flushing Meadows, but that doesn't mean there wasn't good tennis to be seen. Venus Williams and Kim Clijsters' match had to be decided in the third set.

Vera Zvonareva (7) Defeats Caroline Wozniacki (1)

The top seed on the women's side, Caroline Wozniacki, went down in straight sets to Vera Zvonareva. Zvonareva will play Saturday in hopes of winning her first Grand Slam title.
