NFL Week 1 Preview And Predictions (Part 1)
In three parts, predictions for each and every game in Week 1. Here's five games. Score and something I think you should watch for in each game.
Well, Thursday night came and went and New Orleans continued their winning ways. No early sign of a Super Bowel hangover for this team. Meanwhile, the Brett Favre quarterbacked Vikings looked almost punchless in the passing game save a few trademark Favre circus maneuvers. Still out there playing , whether you like it or not. AP looked good out there, but the vikings abandoned him in the end.
Not the game all of us expected; and especially after New Orleans' opening drive who would of thought 14-9 would be the final? The NFL is a wild, unpredictable beast, with more parity than any other professional sport. That's a huge part of the reason we love watching it and it still dominates headlines during the thick of baseball season every summer.
So without further adieu, here they are, my Week 1 predictions.
Denver at Jacksonville

Newsflash: Tim Tebow will not be a factor! It's interesting though, that he debuts in the city where everyone thought he would end up. Expect Kyle Orton and the Denver offense to do enough to take care of business and the Denver defense to stack the box against MoJo and limit him as much as possible.
Denver 20, Jacksonville 13
Oakland at Tennesee

A lot of experts are picking the Raiders to surprise some people, and I agree. With JaMarcus gone, this team has enough weapons on offense to stay in games. However, this will not be one of them. Chris Johnson should open his 2010 campaign right where 2009 left off: hitting the ground running.
Tennessee 34, Oakland 17
Detroit at Chicago
3 of 5
Interesting game here. Two teams that I can't really put a finger on coming into 2010. But with Green Bay and Minnesota in their division, this is already a non-playoff battle.
Chicago 27, Detroit 24
Cincinnati at New England
4 of 5
One of the games of the week. TO vs Randy and Randy vs Ocho is always a great diva fest. Now we get all three! Should be fun.
New England 24, Cincinnati 17
Cleveland at Tampa Bay
5 of 5
A battle of futility will be a real bore. Should be interesting to see how Josh Freeman comes out of the gates with Mike Williams.
Cleveland 13, Tampa Bay 7
