Football is here! The NFL preseason is underway and that means we’re getting close to September kickoffs where the games count and teams start battling for postseason position. College teams are doing two-a-days and dreaming of bowl games. Football season generates more drama than any other sport because every game is huge. A bad quarter can cost you a game which can cost you winning season which can cost you a bowl game or for some a shot at a conference or national championship. The offseason of both sports were dominated by off-field issues. In the NFL, labor talks have been the chatter and if there will be a lockout in 2011. In college, schools have decided to move conferences causing a minor quake to rock the college football world. It looked like we might be in for drastic realignment but looks like that’s off for now but it’ll be coming by the end of the decade.
