Patriots' QB Tom Brady Involved in Car Crash Near His Boston Home
Twitter was ablaze Thursday morning with reports that Tom Brady had apparently gotten into a two-vehicle accident with a brown minivan bearing New Jersey plates (video of the scene). The Patriots golden boy's black Audi collided with the other vehicle at approximately at 6:15 a.m. at the corner of Commonwealth Avenue and Gloucester Street near his Back Bay home.
He has been described as "shaken" and "pretty banged up" and was rushed to the hospital. The driver of the other vehicle was rumored to have required extraction by the jaws of life, but was also not seriously injured (although he received a citation for failing to stop at a red light). When Brady arrived at at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, he declined further medical treatment.

The good news is that he's alive and kicking, but everyone should be keeping an eye on the team injury report for the next day or two. A few lighthearted Twitter commentators suggested that his hair might be to blame, while others are checking in to find out if his hair survived the run-in. The best that New England Patriots fans can hope for is that for is that Elin Nordegren is nowhere near the scene.
Police say he was not cited or at fault in the incident.
