EPL Predictions: 12/9 Matches
I promised Sunday EPL predictions—and I'm a man of my word.
The second half of the weekend slate brings some interesting matchups...
Middlesbrough v. Arsenal
Arsenal have been nothing short of phenomenal this season. The Gunners look to continue their table-topping form against a team I have pegged for relegation.
Middlesbrough have been terrible—they look like last year's Manchester City team, only less exciting.
Expect Gareth Southgate's seat to get ever hotter after this match.
Prediction: Boro 0-3 Arsenal
Bolton v. Wigan
An early relegation six-pointer. Both teams have relatively new managers.
Look for this match to be knock-down, drag-out war—with plenty of scrap from both sides.
Prediction: Bolton 1-1 Wigan
Tottenham Hotspur v. Manchester City
In a match full of intrigue, Sven-Goran Eriksson takes his Blues to London to face a former Manchester City managerial candidate in Juande Ramos.
To say that City have struggled away from Eastlands is an understatement. Winless since opening day, the Blues look to reverse their fortunes against a side that may still be reeling from a loss to Birmingham last weekend.
City haven't won in three years at White Hart Lane. I don't see three City points in this one either—unless Elano plays.
He's still a question mark heading in.
City's chances are improved, however, by the absence of Robbie Keane, who is banned from the match.
Prediction: Spurs 2-2 City
Blackburn v. West Ham
Blackburn have been a tough side to beat under Mark Hughes.
With West Ham riding out a rough stretch, look for Hughes' side to take the three points.
Prediction: Blackburn 2-1 West Ham
That's all she wrote for this weekend. Enjoy the footy!
