Observations

1. The Oakland Raiders must win the game on Sept 12 in order to break a pattern of losses. For seven consecutive years, the Raiders have lost the very first game of the regular season.

2. At the beginning of the decade, the Raiders won their very first game of the regular season for three consecutive years, from 2000 to 2002.

3. The Titans have won 50 percent of their ten games at the start of the regular season.

4. Both the Raiders and the Titans lost the very first game of the season in 2009.

In order to continue to boost the morale of the Raider Nation, it is imperative that the Oakland Raiders break the pattern of losing the very first game of the regular season.

Breaking the pattern just might help to boost attendance at the home games. It would also help more people believe that it is a new day for the Oakland Raiders.

Just do it. Just win, baby!
