I personally like this move, the Devils added an experienced and skilled center in Jason Arnott; however, he is somewhat injury prone which is a bit of a concern for me.
Grade: B
Signed: D Henrik Tallinder
This was a great signing by the Devils. Tallinder is a legitimate defenseman who is very experienced and can mentor the young guys on the team. What many people don't realize is that Tallinder played a huge role in the quick and steady development of Tyler Myers. If Alex Urbom does make the Devils, expect him to lean heavily on Tallinder.
Grade: A-
Signed: Anton Volchenkov
I love this signing. The Devils have been searching for a physical top-four defenseman since they lost Scott Stevens. Volchenkov will not put up many points but he will block every puck coming his way and hit anything that moves.
Grade: A
Signed: Johan Hedberg
This is a great signing for the Devils. They finally have a legitimate backup goalie who can carry the load if Marty Brodeur gets sick, injured or too fatigued. Hedberg is also a great team guy and will do everything he can to help this team win.
Grade: A
Overall I think the Devils have had a very successful off-season; however, we will have to let their play do the talking.
