Macho Rhino's AFC South 2010 Preview
AFC SOUTH
This is the toughest division in football. They have three very good teams that’ll have to battle for a playoff spot. The Colts are just a dominant force that isn’t easy to stop. This division is stocked with the best offensive skill players in the league as they have the best QB in Peyton Manning, the best RB in Chris Johnson and the best WR in Andre Johnson. There should be great divisional games in the AFC South this season.
1. Indianapolis Colts (14-2) – The Colts are going to again put up a huge regular season. Pierre Garcon should continue on a great year he had last year. I like the drafting of Jerry Hughes a ton. He should wreck havoc as opposing offenses are already focused on Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis.

2. Tennessee Titans (11-5) – Chris Johnson thinks he’s gonna get 2500 yards this year but I can’t see it. That would be hugely impressive but 2000 is realistic. The Titans were tremendous in the second half of last year and I think it’ll continue. They’ve got one of the best coaches in the league and should be in the playoffs this year.
3. Houston Texans (10-6) – It’s a make or break season in Houston. The Texans must make the playoffs or there will be changes next year including a new coach and QB. I think the young players on defense will gel and this will be a top 10 defense that will get them in the playoffs this year. On offense, they should finally have a running game to compliment the passing game but they’ll rely on Matt Schuab to Andre Johnson when they need a big play.
4. Jacksonville Jaguars (5-11) - Jacksonville just doesn’t have the talent to compete in this division. Even though Maurice Jones-Drew should again have a good season, he won’t get a lot of opportunities because this team will be playing from behind. As usual, the question is can Jacksonville get production from the passing game.
