2010 NFL betting action comes to you Sunday, September 12th when the Denver Broncos rumble into EverBank Field in Jacksonville, FL to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. Kickoff is set for 1:00 ET. Last time these two teams played, the Jaguars went into Denver and beat the Broncos 24-17 as 3.5-point underdogs.

Denver comes into the 2010-11 season looking to get back to the postseason after finishing at .500 at 8-8 SU & winning nine of 16 ATS last season. They will rely on QB Kyle Orton to improve on the Broncos 13th ranked passing offense from a year ago. RB Knowshon Moreno and Correll Buckhalter will share the work load for a team that ranked 18th in rushing YPG last season. WR Eddie Royal will be the main go to receiver with the absence of Brandon Marshall. The Broncos pass rush finished 3rd last season so they will look to continue play with that same intensity this season. Unfortunately, they’ll have to do so without leading sack master Elvis Dumervil whose out indefinitely with a torn pectoral muscle.

The Jaguars come into the 2010-11 NFL betting season after finishing under .500 last season 7-9 SU, but split their games ATS (8-8). Their rushing attack finished 10th in the league averaging 126.8 YPG, and they will count on Maurice-Jones Drew to pace the ground game in 2010. QB David Garrard is looking to bounce back from an off year a season ago. Unfortunately for him, Mike Sims-Walker is his best option on a rather slim WR corps.

When it comes to trends, Jacksonville hasn’t been very reliable for NFL bettors. When favored the L/3 years, they’re just 5-8 SU & a bankroll depleting 1-12 ATS. They’re also a pathetic 7-9 SU & 3-13 ATS in their L/16 home games. Denver stands 8-8 SU & 9-7 ATS the L/16 times it went off the board as the decided underdog. They’re also a solid 6-1 SU & 4-3 ATS in September games dating back to the 2007 season.
