Both the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills open up their respective NFC East 2010 NFL betting schedules on Sunday, September 12th at 1:00 ET from Ralph Wilson stadium in Buffalo, NY. Last year, the two teams split the season series with the home team winning both times. The Dolphins won the first game in Miami 38-10 as two-point favorites and the Bills more than returned the favor in the second go round in Buffalo winning outright as four-point underdogs, 31-14.

The Dolphins come into the season with high hopes after finishing under .500 last season at 7-9 SU, but split their games ATS (8-8). Their rushing attack finished 4th in the league averaging 139 YPG, and they’ll count on both Ricky Williams and a healthy Ronnie Brown to pace the ground game once again in 2010. QB Chad Henne has a new toy to play with in the form of WR Brandon Marshall; Dolphins bettors and fans hope the duo dramatically improves upon the Fins 20th ranked passing attack from a year ago.
Buffalo enters its 2010-11 football betting campaign looking to improve upon its 30th ranked passing attack. Starting QB Trent Edwards returns from yet another injury riddled season looking to prove he is the man for the Bills QB1 job. Unfortunately for him, WR Lee Evans is his best option on an otherwise mediocre WR corps. Where Buffalo excels however is on the ground. Rookie RB C.J. Spiller will team with Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson to form one of the most dangerous three-headed rushing monsters in the league.
Some betting trends to make note of in this matchup are: Miami is 8-4 SU & 9-3 ATS against AFC East opponents the L/3 seasons, and 8-7 SU & 10-5 ATS its L/15 on the road. The Bills have been very poor in the role of the underdog winning outright only six times in their L/20 tries while posting a 9-10-1 ATS tally during that stretch. As a host, Buffalo stands 6-8 SU & 5-8-1 ATS its L/14 home tussles.
