The Raiders enter this season in the post-JaMarcus Russell era. They brought in QB Jason Campbell to help them improve on a 2009 season in which their passing attack finished 29th in the league averaging under 160 YPG and ended up 5-11 SU, but split their games for NFL bettors against the spread (8-8). WR’s Darrius Heyward-Bey and Louis Murphy along with TE Zach Miller look to be Campbell’s best options on an otherwise very questionable offense. RB’s Michael Bush and Darren McFadden will share time pacing the ground attack in 2010 that ranked 21st in the league averaging 106 YPG.

Tennessee enters their 2010-11 campaign with a few question marks after finishing last season 8-8 SU & 9-7 ATS. How will a rejuvenated QB Vince Young look to improve the 23rd ranked passing attack from a year ago, while trusting WR’s Nate Washington, Kenny Britt, Justin Gage and big TE Bo Scaife to make the big plays? And how will the Titans improve on last year’s 32nd ranked passing defense? Young will be joined by the dynamic and explosive RB Chris Johnson who ran circles around opposing defenses a year ago.

On paper this match-up is very one sided when digging into the trends. As a favorite the L/3 years, the Titans are 17-7 SU & have won 13 of their L/22 ATS to very much please their NFL betting backers. They are a good bet at home in the L/3 years as well winning 12 of 17 SU & 9-6 ATS. The Raiders on the other hand have only won 10 of their L/32 games SU while posting a 15-17 ATS mark the L/3 years. On the road in that same time frame they are 6-10 SU but covered nine of the L/16 ATS. When dogged, they’re 10-20 SU & split their L/30 ATS (15-15).
