The 2010 NFL betting season kicks off Thursday Night, September 9th from the Superdome in New Orleans, LA where the Saints will play host to Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings; the game will be broadcasted live on NBC at 8:30 ET. This is a rematch of the 2009 NFC Championship Game that saw the Saints sneak out the 31-28 OT victory.

The Vikings enter their season with WR Percy Harvin battling some health issues and Sidney Rice being sidelined for up to six weeks after having hip surgery. On the bright side, Favre is back to give it the old college try a supposed last time in hopes of securing the franchise its first ever Super Bowl title. Minnesota drafted Stanford RB Toby Gerhart, signed WR Javon Walker, and most recently traded for former Miami WR Greg Camarillo to aid the depleted receiving corps.

The Saints enter the 2010-11 NFL betting season looking to prove last season’s Super Bowl march wasn’t a fluke, as QB Drew Brees and the gang look to get back to dominating its opposition. The Saints didn’t make many notable moves this offseason, but did add DE Alex Brown to a defense that ranked amongst the best in forcing turnovers a year ago. There’s no trick to this pony however, as the offense won this club a majority of its games a year ago.
