Dolphins 2010 Quick Match-Up Analysis: Run Flipper Run!
Miami Dolphins sign Brandon Marshall, but perfect timing for a 2010 season full of difficult pass match-ups.
Their 2010 match-ups point to a big opportunity to run.
Luckily for the fins both running backs are ready to fill-in and take advantage of their match-ups.
The next slide will break down their 2010 schedule and shows the strong and weak match-ups.
Fins 2010 Run & Pass Defense Match-Up Analysis
1 of 1
In my analysis of the Miami Dolphins' 2010 match-ups, I looked at the run and pass defenses rankings from last year. The worst defenses are color-coded green (IE, favorable match-up) and the best are red (unfavorable match-up).
We can see that the Fins have 6 run match-ups where they face a team ranked over 19th worst and there's a great string of match-ups at the end of the year that could give your fantasy team a nice shot in the arm when you need it for the playoff push.
Even with the addition of Brandon Marshall, they face a daunting challenge in the passing game. With only 3 strong match-ups, it’ll be a tough season for the passing game.
The Ronnie Ricky show should really benefit from the “Green-Reds” – the combo of facing an opponent with a piss poor run defense but great pass D. There are three of those match-ups. Two against the Bills (the opener and late-season game) and one against everyone’s chumps – the Raiders.
