Tampa Bay Buccaneers Present 2010 Roster...Almost

On this Labor Day holiday, we review the most gainful employment in Tampa, 53 very high-paying jobs. But wait, with Aqib Talib suspended for Sunday's game against Cleveland, there are 53 PLUS the "wild child" on "reserve/suspended," which means come next week, there will be one last cut.

Surprises? Not really. You knew Clifton Smith was on the bubble. He survived the Saturday cut but was sent packing on Sunday. You're probably wondering about Kregg Lumpkin and Ted Larsen, both claimed off the waiver wire. Well, as Boss Dominik says, that's HIS specialty. Larsen was the sixth round pick of the New England Patriots and Lumpkin was claimed from Green Bay.

Ah, you're all sad today because Michael Clayton is gone. And he thought he'd be on the final roster. That explains it all. Michael Clayton has NEVER seen himself on film.

Dominik and coach Raheem Morris admitted a mistake in last year's draft. Xavier Fulton was cut, the fifth round selection in 2009.

Surprises from this year? Not an earth-shattering surprise but Preston Parker earned a spot on the roster. He has moves and quicks and was impressive in the preseason, as was Michael Spurlock.

It is interesting to see that the practice squad is so small. Could that be a money issue?

They kept three quarterbacks. Don't know about that. Raheem is married to Josh Freeman but maybe Rudy Carpenter is his boyfriend on the side.
