Kansas City Chiefs 2010 Season Preview: 53-Man Roster Prediction

With the pre-season schedule ending Thursday night, the Chiefs are now gearing up for the regular season which starts in just 10 days.

Before they start thinking about the regular season, the team will have to trim its roster from 75 players to just 53 by tomorrow, September 4th. The last round of cuts are always the toughest for the coaches to make due to all the hard work and preparation that these players have put in during the off-season.

I decided to share my take for the "right 53" players that will still be on this team after tomorrow commences.

Offense-Backs

This group has been up and down during the preseason with the running backs having an impressive showing and the QBs still have a lot to prove. Jones and Charles will be battling for the starting RB spot, with Battle backing them up and Croyle will play if the 63-million dollar man Cassel starts to struggle.

This group looks much improved over last year, and if they can get contributions from guys like Urban and Horne they might field a formidable WR corps this season.

This group will have its work cut out for them this year, as the TE position has been weak since the departure of future Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez in 2009.
