Breaking News: NXT Pro Vickie Guerrero FIRES Rookie Aloisia!!!

Mr. Ashley MorrisSep 3, 2010

This just in from pro wrestling news outlet, Gerweck.net:

WWE Pro Vickie Guerrero has fired her NXT season three Rookie Diva, Aloisia.

Various sources are reporting that Guerrero, the temperamental Official Consultant of SmackDown, had an argument with her 6-foot-9 Rookie Diva over Vickie’s influence over Aloisia.

The news has left WWE NXT season three shaken before it’s even started. But when reached for comment, Guerrero stated she would reveal her new Rookie Diva on the WWE NXT season three premiere this Tuesday night at 10 p.m. ET on Syfy.

I'm posting this news from Gerweck.net due to various "restrictions" that keep me from visiting WWE.com directly.

Nevertheless, I'm surprised that this news hasn't hit B/R just yet.

Let me restate that.  I  understand why this news hasn't hit B/R just yet, but I'm still surprised that it hasn't been addressed yet.

Most fans were not keen on the idea of Vickie G being a "pro" on NXT in the first place.  I, for one, thought it was a clever move similar to the pairing of The Miz with Bryan Danielson and Lay-cool with Kaval.

With Vickie firing Aloisia well before the start of the third season, NXT only adds more drama to the character's situation.

Can you imagine a pissed off, mega-tall Aloisia coming on the show and wrecking shop on everyone simply because Vickie fired her?  Say what you will, but we all know that is one frightening image.  Women ain't s'posed to be that BIG!

On the other hand, this "firing" also adds a little depth to a season that we all honestly expect to fall short of the standards (or lack thereof) set by the first two.

This isn't a stab at the fresh direction of the show, as it's actually a good thing for the company to at least spend more than two minutes focused on highlighting the wrestling side of being a WWE Diva.

What that statement is doing, however, is acknowledging the absolute truth of the situation.  Most fans barely speak highly of the WWE's Diva's division unless they're reveling in the latter part of Trish Stratus' career.  If you think the Diva's matches are crap now, then would you be all that interested in watching them carry a barrel around the ring?

Knowing the WWE, they'll probably have the rookies compete in pillow fights and dive into pools of Jello Pudding.  The sad thing is I'm saying that in all seriousness.

At any rate, I think this news is interesting in the fact that it adds another level of depth to the third season of NXT and creates buzz around Aloisia's character, who will more than likely end up as McMahon's next pet project.

What do you think?
