Pre-Season Highlights: Oakland Raiders Defeat Seattle Seahawks
The Oakland Raiders started few of their planned starters during Thursday evening's pre-season game hosting the Seattle Seahawks. Coach Tom Cable hopes the momentum will continue to the regular season.
The back-up offensive line for the Oakland Raiders played nearly the entire exhibition for Oakland. Excellent blocking allowed a shot catch and run to extend for thirty plus yards in the third quarter by Cartwright.
Darrius Heyward-Bay is one of the strongest prospects and was given a heavy amount of attention on the Raiders Broadcasting Network, which simulcast KTLA television and AM 830 KLAA in the Los Angeles area. This started an outstanding ground drive supported by superb blocking to tire out the defense.

A 24 to 16 lead at the end of the third quarter continued to emphasize qualities of this Oakland Raiders team that are promising for long time fans waiting for a winning season.
Kyle Boller looked confident in the pocket and surveyed the field well as he threw over the middle of the field for first downs consistently to avoid fourth downs. Boller marched his team down the field in the fourth confidently.
Nnamdi Asomugha was interviewed during the game and said that the current team shows great promise.

While pre-season success is no guarantee, it appears that youth and talent are much improved over previous years for the Oakland Raiders franchise.
