2010 Game By Game Predictions: Washington Redskins
We are so close.
Starting today, September 2, 2010, I am doing a four-part series leading up to the Dallas opener, predicting the outcome of every game of the season for the Washington Redskins.
I will most likely be totally wrong, or I will be lucky and get them right! We will know the outcome of all the games soon though.
Let's start our series by predicting the Dallas game and three others. Then in a few days I will predict the next four, and so on.
Week 1 Vs. Dallas Cowboys at FedEx Field (Prime Time)
1 of 5
Washington will face the hated—I mean hated—rival Dallas Cowboys in a Week 1, nationally televised Sunday Night Showdown.
The Cowboys' offense will be steamrolling with Felix Jones running for for 121 yards and 2 TDs, but the passing game will be shut down by the Redskins defense, with Tony Romo throwing for just 160 yards and 1 TD and 2 INTs.
The Redskins' offense will dominate with a late-game surge and wrap it all up. Rex Grossman will throw for 250 yards and 2 TDs, Clinton Portis will run for 103 yards and 1 TD, and DeAngelo Hall will return one to the house.
Final Score: Redskins 33, Cowboys 27 (OT)
Clinton Portis wins it for the Redskins in overtime with a magical 35-yard TD run.
Record: 1-0
Week 2 Vs. Houston Texans at FedEx Field (Midday)
2 of 5
In Week 2, the Houston Texans come to Washington happy after a Week 1 win. They should have gotten a reality check before they came!
The Texans' offense will be too much for the Skins defense to handle, with Matt Schaub throwing for 340 yards and 4 TDs and Steve Slaton rushing for 60 yards on the ground.
The Redskins' offense, though, will be explosive right back! With McNabb back in uniform, the 'Skins will be happy. Donovan will throw for 350 yards, 3 TDs, and 1 pick. Larry Johnson will run for 85 yards and 1 TD.
Final Score: Redskins 31, Texans 28
Both Ds will suck, but in the end the Redskins have the edge. The Redskins win on a 43-yard field goal by Graham Gano with 22 seconds left.
Record: 2-0
Week 3 Vs. St. Louis Rams at Edward Jones Dome (Midday)
3 of 5
In Week 3, the Redskins will travel to the "Gateway of the West" to battle the losing St. Louis Rams.
This week will be hard for the Rams. Sam Bradford will throw for 145 yards and 2 INTs. Steven Jackson will be the only light of the Rams offense with 150 yards rushing and 2 TDs. The Rams' defense will dominate the Redskins.
Donovan McNabb will throw for just 179 yards and 3 INTs. Clinton Portis will rush for 121 yards and 1 TD. The Redskins defense will show why it was in the top ten last year. London Fletcher will take one to the house from 56 yards out and will recover 2 fumbles. Brian Orakpo will sack Sam Bradford 3 times.
Final Score: Redskins 17, Rams 14
Record: 3-0
Week 4 Vs. Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field (Midday)
4 of 5
Donovan McNabb will stand on Lincoln Financial Field for the first time as a visitor to face his former teammate Kevin Kolb and the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Eagles offense will shine brightly throughout the game but the defense will suck. Kolb will throw for 207 yards and 1 TD and LeSean McCoy will run for 130 yards and 2 TDs.
Like the Eagles, the Redskins will be good on offense but bad on D.
Donovan McNabb will throw for 402 yards and 3 TDs. Larry Johnson will rush for 79 yards.
Final Score: Eagles 27, Redskins 21
Record: 3-1
See You Next Time!

Thanks for reading!
I will come out with the next four games on Friday or Saturday. For the rest of the season, the Redskins will hit some major bumps and have some nice climbs to victory.
Also, I will have a recap and article about the Redskins and Cardinals game Friday.
HAIL!
