Draft Lottery Winners and Losers
Today is judgment day. Well at least Ilya thinks so. Today is the NHL's deadline on whether or not it will accept the Devils' latest offer. If it does not, many have speculated that the superstar winger will take his talents to Russia.
More on this momentous day coming soon.
Marc Savard
Douglas Flynn of NESN.com is reporting that the Bruins might actually be interested in trading Savard. When asked about swirling trade rumors, Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli said that he refused to address any rumors.
Bobby Ryan
Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register is reporting that Ryan's agent, Don Meehan, will be meeting with Ducks' management later this week to discuss a new contract for the young winger.
Sheldon Souray
The Edmonton Journal is reporting that Oilers GM Steve Tambellini has not found any proper suitors for Souray and that Souray will most likely attend training camp.
Carey Price
Mike Boone of Habs Inside/Out Blog is reporting that Carey Price wants $3M a season or "he's going on strike." Strange to say the least.
UPDATE:
Richard Labbe of Cyberpresse is denying the "strike."
Antti Niemi
Nick Kypreos is reporting that the Stanley Cup-winning goaltender will sign with the San Jose Sharks as early as tomorrow morning for $2M a year.
Stay tuned for more updates coming soon!
