Anderson Silva Chael Sonnen Rematch Prediction

   Anybody who keeps up with the UFC knows about Anderson Silva's last bout against Chael Sonnen, after talking trash since before the fight was scheduled Sonnen came out and immediately dominated Silva.

  In the fifth and final round Silva showed very little life by landing a few punches on Sonnen before slipping and falling with Sonnen quickly jumping on top of him and again taking advantage of the fight.

  It looked as if Anderson Silva had given up and admitted defeat. But with two minutes left in the round and the fight, Silva came out of nowhere with a triangle choke submitting Sonnen and defending his title.

  I have little reason to believe that the outcome will be any different when they fight again in late 2010 to early 2011. It was clear that an unhealthy Anderson Silva was up against a well fit Chael Sonnen.

  After the fight Silva stated that his ribs were injured and he was advised not to fight, and you could tell by watching him. He wasn't the same mobile Anderson Silva you saw against Forrest Griffin. Chael Sonnen was basically fighting a punching bag with legs, Silva could have had Joe Rogan on top of him, with injured ribs its never easy to defend take downs or have any control on the ground.

  If Chael can't beat an injured Anderson Silva what makes him think he can beat him when he's healthy. Another advantage for Silva, the more he fights a guy the more dangerous he is. His whole game is feeling out his opponent finding out his fighting style then striking, and when he gets comfortable and gets a feel for his opponent they better watch out, and Anderson Silva already has five rounds of experience against Chael Sonnen.

  With healthy ribs Silva won't let Chael take him down so easy, Sonnen had his chance to beat Silva but he let his guard down, and that is not what a champion does.

  Final Prediction: Anderson Silva wins by KO in the second round.
